I don't recall Harris telling racist lies, so they're not quite "as bad as each other", unless you are ok with racist lies.

It's a pretty straightforward question, are you OK with the prospective President and VP telling racist lies, or not?

And as for the "assault on democracy" that Trump supporters here are so outraged about, where's the outrage for his literal (and well-documented) refusal to accept the results of a free and fair election.

Don't warble on about attacks on democracy, if you're happy to support Trump; that's just blatant rank hypocrisy.

trump has more black supporters than Biden. if trump was racist, not one black or Hispanic person would vote for him

Quit hiding behind "what if" and "strange take" and answer the question. Is it ok for Trump, or indeed anyone, to spread racist lies.

If you don't answer, then I guess it's fair to assume that you don't have an issue with Trump's overt racism.

Join the dots and guess what it says about you if you're happy to support a racist.

And if you're offended by that, then so be it. We might follow the same club and see a lot of things in the same way, and you might in every other sense be a nice bloke, but I've no time for racism.

maybe your definition to racism is different to mine. I can’t stand racists. I also can’t stand people who throw the racist card about for anything and everything nowadays. it loses the real meaning of racism

do I agree with everything trump says? No.

but fact you can’t comment on a lie Harris made until someone comments on a lie trump made is just plain ridiculous

I can't tell you why anyone votes for Trump, other than some kind of ignorance about what he really stands for. But regardless, he's spouting racist lies right now, and he's got a long, documented history of racism in the past. Clearly then, the evidence shows, he's a racist.

For a country with so many guns they're pretty shit at shooting. The guy in the first assassination attempt barely grazed Trump, the second guy didn't get a shot off, Trumps secret service detail fired multiple shots but missed and there's a story on Sky News about a shooting on the NY subway where the police shot a suspect at close range yet still managed to also shoot two innocent bystanders.

They aren’t as bad as each other. Trump has tried to alter election results to block the peaceful transfer of power. As far as I can tell, he’s the only president in US history to do so.

That’s the sign of a dictator.

Of course it's a concern that people are trying to assassinate him. I think part of that is down to him given how all he knows to do is attack and divide - do that in a country where you can legally own a gun with little checks and don't be surprised if you get people aiming guns at you.

Of course I hope there are no more attempts, both because I don't like it and partly because if anything it adds to his persona and just strengthens his position. Of course if a piece of KFC decided to go rogue and choke him I don't think that would be the worst thing in the world, but I don't want to see his life taken by someone else and make him a martyr.

His lies about Haitians eating the dawgs have led to bomb threats against hospitals in that town. This is the problem with just making things up to get cheers from the racists in your base.

I have come across some interesting delicacies abroad. I did not realize it at the time but had Horsemeat in France, there was a lot of talk before the World Cup in Korea about Dog Meat, may not be something eaten now.
