Think it’s more that not having squad depth is a vulnerability that’s cost us a number of times.

Agree - I also think that we're likely to have the strongest squad in years next season, when we have removed some of the obvious older/weaker players from the squad (albeit the likes of Fadz will be held in the highest esteem - as will be shown when we play Blackburn away).

Overall I think our scouting does a decent job, but we can expand it a bit as well. Some really quality players in some leagues that maybe people might not think about.

Kang Seong-jin for FC Seoul is a good example(Has two appearances for South Korea and still only 20 years old) good prospect and can play attacking midfielder and on the wing. Marin Ljubicic from LASK another good young player(21 years old) forward with a solid scoring record in a decent league and has played for Croatia U23 also.

Oh yeah hopefully we sign another Maguire then.

Quality not quantity.
I didn’t say we should sign another Maguire. Out of the 4 we signed 2 of them had a significant impact on helping us get the playoffs. Another good wing option and striker will do the same for us this season potentially. Don’t put words in my mouth

There really is some unwarranted mania around what we need from this window. The squad we currently have has us sitting in the play offs on a great run of form. That’s with no one added. Not one. Not a winger, just inside a winger, just outside a CF or a CM who can play wing. We’ve bought in Torp, a £2m prospect. To be frank, talk that we “need” this and that is nonsense.
I can’t agree with this.

it is based on the assumption that none of our key players get injured or get tired / suspended.

we don’t have cover for Tats or Wright…. Sheaf is a cut above our other CDM’s.

We might get lucky on injuries but if we don’t we are not the same team. Bringing in cover on the wings would have helped mitigate those risks.

Not seen much to say he’s top end championship potential, heard Oxford fans such as George Elek from the NTT20 podcast suggest he’s over performing his XG. Might turn into a decent player but want a good amount being English and 1 day left in the window to replace him.

Il ask you about this if we get to March and Wright and Tats are out for 8 weeks with muscle injuries for overuse and the season falls to shit

I haven't been impressed with Dolan when I have seen him play. Very busy player but not much quality with his delivery or finishing. Good age though for development.

Plan B will be to change formation - perhaps the Box will make a comeback.

Saka did look tired last night.

Goodrham would be a great investment, Oxford wouldn't let him go too cheap but within our range, we'll probably not bother though

Why more to the point?

Plays in the position we need cover more than anywhere else, is young, won't cost much, gets a few goals from out wide. Source seems to be b*ll*cks so a bit pointless arguing about it, but for someone that's almost guaranteed to be backup to Sakamoto, don't know if you'd find many better fits.

By some miracle Vik avoided injury last season dragging us to playoffs & has lulled some into thinking we can `get by' with what we have.

If we're serious about taking the next step we need to start thinking and acting like a Prem outfit- not stand still just being grateful Joy & the Pissdrinkers have vamoosed.

We need reinforcement - If Tats gets a knock weve got...Tavares. Do me a favour
