I really don’t think our team news is ground-breaking stuff. In a league game, our starting line up is fairly predictable. Only selection issues will be Simms or Godden and Eccles or Torp. Either will not force the opposition into a change, just because a bloke called Saddlebrains has given us team news

Maybe. "Premier League clubs have spent £34.6m in this January transfer window, compared to over £700m... in 2023"

The window closes on Thursday February 1 at 11pm in England - could be a last minute rush but these numbers are 95% down; there may simply be no-one else buying, hence no-one else selling, so even if we're the only club with money in Europe, doesn't mean we can get what we want.

Does it follow that European clubs are doing the same? If so, some clubs may need the cash.

Very true, would need to see the European statistics as well. does make it more likely that if we bring someone in they ARE from Norway!

If he can shoot half as hard as is old man he’d do for me, I remember being in our Kop and he unleashed a shot that flew about an inch past my ear like an extroset missile hitting the poor chap behind me thank god.

I remember a game between Watford v Reading where the ball went through the side netting as it had a hole in it and the ref gave the goal. None of the Reading players or Steve Coppell the then manager told the ref what had happened.

Not quite true.

The "ghost goal" doesn't actually go near the net.

If that happened in the Thai league most of the fans would say the ref was left a " tea money in a large brown envelope".

GIMOC just said on twitter that we are not bringing anyone in unless we move Kelly Fadz and Godden out. So i look forward to those 3 staying and 2 more in

Whilst I think we all want at least one more wide or upfront, if we stay at what we have now with no exits, then I don’t think that would be a disaster by any stretch

Always said he looks an interesting player but coming from league 2 it could go either. I'm not jealous of the signing but I am jealous they are bringing a forward in.

To be fair I have heard that Kelly is going on a permanent deal and Fadz on loan to the end of the season . I would seriously doubt Godden is going and doubt whether any of these factors are stopping us signing anyone

Not a disaster maybe, but an injury to either Saka or Wright means we are struggling. Would probably have to go back to 3-5-2 which looked awful the other day. Also given we should have at least 3 more FA cup games to play, we will need to be able to rest Saka and Wright
