My key takeaway from this thread is that if you take away our good results then our position in the table would have been lower.

Who knew!

Just like goals from penalties, the good results don’t count, surely you should know this by now!

Just seen Bissouma has gone to spurs from Brighton , I have a feeling ( no actual knowledge ) we could be saying goodbye to Gus real soon

Hamer is a good player in the Championship but I would be gobsmacked if he’s a replacement for a player who’s just joined Spurs

For those keeping track on Close Season Bingo, next up is “The season hasn’t even started yet”. Eyes down.

And from the little of Brighton I’ve watched Bissouma a defensive midfielder whereas Hamer is a box to box player

Seeing disappointment after no “5pm signings” quite pleases me.

It was Moore last year after that Sevilla friendly. Calls for us to sign another GK afterwards. Mental.

Wasn't Sheaf slagged off before he signed for smiling in training at Arsenal?

Darragh Lenihan Blackburn captain out of contract and leaving. Rumoured to be going to Middlesborough but would be an excellent signing for us.

We can’t compete with Middlesbrough for players. That’s the position we are in

Auston Trusty. LCB from MLS, was signed by Arsenal in January and will be sent out on loan in July. Would fit the bill of replacing JCS.

I agree wage wise. The only advantage we have over some clubs is most signings are going to be playing every week and not squad players.

We need to avoid Auston Allegro, no pace and constantly injured

Strangely, he looks like he could go faster backwards than going forwards ??!!

Not caught up with this thread for a few days; just read through I don’t know how many pages and I know no more than when I started.

I know we’re all impatient but let’s wait and see how things transpire over the next few weeks before we start any doom and gloom.

I’ve said it a few times before but if one of the big three do need to go, then it has to be Hamer for me.

Quite quick as well, and I think he would offer balance and that much needed pace at the back that we have been crying out for, for a while

edit: also potentially fits the bill for what SBB said, CB on loan from top PL club

@Skybluebeliever any new insights ?

how big a blow is theJCS decision to Robins or did he have this as unlikely for some time now ?

I think it’s been said before that it was a non starter then became possible and then we were outbid in terms of wages

JCS would have been a bonus , the club never expected to get him and he was not an original target , there will be 2/3 other targets being worked on
I would things will move quickly in the next 7 to 10 days

Just going along junction 2 and 3 of the m6 hopefully. We’ve already got Waghorn which is bad enough.

No thanks, would be a waste of wage now, he was a fantastic striker in his day but is past it now unfortunately

I’d still take Deeney in a heartbeat at the right wage

Kristian Pedersen has joined Koln and Ragnar Ache has been loaned out to Fürth. Rules both them out from the rumour mill.
