@Tea & Busquets , did you say you were from the Netherlands parts, because I like the look of FC Twente midfielder Zerrouki, do you reckon he would be a good replacement or out of our reach?
not from there but do watch eredivise quite frequently to keep up with some of my countrymen playing there. Zerrouki is quite a good player and would be a good replacement for Hamer with good pedigree as he comes from the Ajax youth system and is a full Algerian international. He Is probably out of our price range though.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we went for Callum Styles to replace Hamer. We know Robins is a big fan.

He's going to command a fee, I just can't see it at all even though he's a decent player who Robins rates

I can Imagine him asking Sisu to reinvest money on him

Think he'd cost about £3m at least. Maybe a bit more.

If we sell Gus for 7-8mil then I can imagine Robins asking for a bit more cash, cant imagine them providing it though as SBB said, he doesnt see any big money replacements

I wouldn't necessarily hang on every word SBB says. His info is good, but being able to predict what we'll be able to do when we get an as yet unknown transfer fee for a player is difficult to guess. As you say, may be dependant on what Robins asks for. Still couldn't see us spending more than £2m on a single player though.

Like the sound of this. You think any fees will be involved @Skybluebeliever or free agents? Prefer to see us recruit from League 1 and 2, and development players from Premier League teams.

Don’t take this the wrong way mate but you suggest so many players that we will never ever sign maybe you should try going outside for a bit

Panutche Camara from Plymouth would be worthy investment as a hamer replacement and wouldn't cost a fortune

I think he agreed a permanent deal with Burnley? But, yes he is the kind of player we should be looking for.

My opinion but I think we have players here who can fill any gap Kane might leaves Dabo the obvious one but Eccles & Jack Burroughs can play there and play well.

It seemed he had but notice now Alan Nixon saying Sunderland are also interested. Burnley seem to have signed Egan Riley, that Harwood Bellis and an Oxford centre back. Wonder whether they have cooled on Ballard.

Hold on. He failed the medical!
Probably effed him off after they nicked C-J E-R from us.

Think the move has broken down at least for now apparently couldn’t agree wage terms

Sounds like the initial fee for Ballard was £2m plus add ons and percentage of sell on.
It doesn't seem likely we are fishing in that pool this window. However, I wonder if we could resurrect the Sheaf deal structure with Arsenal?
Take the lad on loan for small upfront fee and obligation to buy at 2m next summer? Sounds like we would have cleared more wages off the books by then and likely Vik would be sold (if not this year) so we could have a little bit to invest.

Hopefully that player is announced today or this week, the one that was mentioned alongside the Man City lad as being done, be interesting to see who it is (if they've not buggered off somewhere else too )

Besiktas have bid for Joao at Reading, gives some credence they’ve been looking in the Championship for strikers and were quoted €10m for Gyokeres

Think they are talking about 2.5 mil, reading are in a strange position because they aren’t allowed to sign anyone to replace him.

I know he is a bit older, but that does seem quite low. Reading will be in a lot of trouble without him now that Swift has gone as well.
