At 21 he should have known better. Can't say I like the racist tones of what he recorded either.
Don't think I'd be adverse to him playing for us. I would just hope he's grown up more in the past couple of weeks than he had in the previous 21years because he's seriously behind in that department.

Players have come back from doing worse but I think it is probably a little bit soon to try to rehabilitate the chap.

The last 'star striker' we signed with a chequered past ended up alienating a proportion of the fan base and some fans have not returned since. Neither Whelen nor Nuddy did anything as bad or as public as this. Doesn't look good sacked from his club for racist behaviour, signed by a club who has a large multi cultural community. Too soon.

I think the difference is those players you quoted were already with us, so were far more likely to be forgiven. Bringing in someone like Hopper could seriously damage the clubs glowing reputation :sarcasm:

4 in 6 for Scunny - not sure about his ego, Jack Grelish has a big ego but considered a great player - I did some things at 21 that I wouldn't have done at 25 we all grow up. would rather a cocky confident player rather than a Jack Finch / Connor Thomas

I know of the lad through friends and he regrets what hes done and is currently paying for his actions, but we won't even look at Tom so their is no discussion here really.
