I doub't there has ever been a documented case of fans flocking to see a team with a pathetic home record. The only way to get them in will be to pay them to attend and cheer like they do at some rock concerts.
There have been some good posts here. If we love our club, and the primary aim is to help keep in League 1, then we as fans have to take the lead, and accept a responsibility for fully supporting the team in the next 3 home games, and driving the team on to the results (wins) we need. I don't necessarily think it's down to the team to do their bit first, we were here before all of these players, and will still be here when they have moved on. We are the constant, and can influence results - either way! - through our support. let's make it totally positive over the next few games, and play our part.
The fans are still going, all 8,000 of them. You wont get the non-fans (the 15,000 people who just like to watch a good football match) until the performances improve.
