I am not arguing it was right or proper but the bureaucratic classes have been planning this for decades. Some facts...

They incease it gradually on a schedule, similar to what happened when they bumped it up to 66. The increase from 60 for women was announced 21 years ago in the Pensions Act 1995, this was passed partially to comply with EU directive 79/7 (1978) requiring equal treatment of sexes for all social benefits by 2008.

PS Civil Servants can access their pensions from the age of 55. Those bastards look after themselves as they screw everyone else. :mad:
