I appreciate we are not being told everything/things are contradictory, but it's the "no, it's definitely a hoax/doesn't exist/you're an idiot if you wear a mask" that does my head in.

Went to B&M earlier and I estimate that probably only 70% of people had masks on.

Flu did NOT kill 64000 people in 2018 - it killed about 28,000 in the year to March 31st 2018. Unless of course, you choose to believe that the PHE weekly and annual flu surveillance reports are all made up as well.Exhibit A.
