I think EasyJet have got it bang-on by removing the recline button. Their new slimmer seats give an inch or so extra legroom (it matters when you have a 33" inside leg!), and are perfectly comfy for a short-haul to Europe, etc.People who recline there seats on an airplane you gain about an inch but piss the person behind you off, and people who stand right close to the luggage carousel so no one can see just stand back and walk up when you see yours come out, you end up having to push people out the way

Sometimes you can find seats that have a bit more legroom and then pay a few quid with your airline to book that seat.

I was offered the option too choose my seats when booking, but I thought it was a bit of a rip off. £45 from Heathrow - Abu Dhabi then they wanted an additional £35 for Abu Dhabi - Brisbane. Then the same prices on the return journey.

Problem with being at the back is the line of mouth breathers that can’t keep out of the bog on the flight to get rid of the lager they swilled at 3amAlways book the back seats on a plane now so I can recline without the hassle. Often find that the seats at the back are only a 2 as well rather than 3, which is decent storage space.
Off to Florida next year and genuinely thought about paying for a Business Class upgrade. Can’t really afford it so have opted not to, but done it once before and it was such a step up in quality.
In seats at the back, you feel any turbulence more. My wife refuses to even consider travelling at the back of the aircraft.

My wife gets terrified in turbulence.
Being a nervous flyer isn’t as irrational as some make out tbh. About 6 miles high in an aluminium tube, yeah I do feel pretty precarious tbh! If it goes badly wrong that’s your lot I guess, I’ve seen Castaway!!
I’ve calmed down as I’ve got older. Serious turbulence will have me alarmed, which I think I’ve only experienced once when I was younger. But hitting a little pocket of wind and feeling a quick rumble isn’t much worse than going down the M40 and having a side wind hit you. What makes me laugh is the mrs gripping my hand when that happens, then telling everyone at home we had bad turbulence. A couple of rums usually takes the edge off.
Few of them in cov, it's quite funny. The sort of people born here that call Ireland 'home'. Bizarre.My brother in law annoys me, born in Coventry but speaks with an Irish ( begorrah and bejaysus accent) can’t drink more then 4 pints without getting drunk and making a tool of himself
He genuinely thinks the world owes him a living , was in charge of a lovely pub in town and living rent free in it so put his house out to rent and had a double income but spent more time in every other pub in the town centre
