Started it after finishing the wire but couldn’t get into it. Watched about 7 episodes. Will try again one day.

I’ve seen the first 2 seasons of the shield. Wouldn’t mind starting it again

I must have watched Soprano's in it's entirety about 10 times. The story is so well detailed and clever that I always find myself laughing or engaging with something I didn't notice before.

I can't believe some of the people claiming Game of Thrones is better on some of the Facebook posts I've seen today. I love GoT but it doesn't come close I'm afraid.

If you want another WTF moment, I've not watched the Soprano's, or the Wire, or the Shield.

All 3 are well worth watching in their own way but the Sopranos is streets ahead of the Wire and the Wire is streets ahead of the Shield in my opinion.

I've got a confession that sometimes raises peoples eyebrows, I think Boardwalk empire is better than the Sopranos although the last season of BE seemed rushed and didn't live up to what had gone before it.

Okay, cheers for that. Always fancied the Wire because Idris Elba is in it, but as I probably won't watch all three, I would probably plump for the Soprano's.

Have to confess, have not seen Boardwalk Empire either.

get all 3 box sets, a mountain of snacks, (vegetarian in your case), lock yourself in a room with a TV and do not emerge until you've watched all 3, you won't regret it!

There is always something new coming up though isn't there.

Shortly there will be True Detective, Tin Star, GOT and TWD. I dare say Westworld will be back on soon too.

I recommend Westworld, though the second season was a bit mind-blowing and overtly complicated.

I had a similar feeling up until the latter seasons of Boardwalk Empire. That was such a class show that I can watch again and again

None of them are streets ahead of each other. 3 brilliant shows

the Shield is a bit formulatic to be honest, and for me, the Wire jumped the shark in season 5, the serial killer story line was nonsense. Season 2 was my favourite.
Season 4 is the best with pres teaching

Shield always had story and character arcs running and the self contained cases were interesting unlike the procedural shows today like csi and ncis etc

Where can I watch any of them anyway?

Just looked and it seems I have to pay for them all. Not on Amazon or Netflix.

it was the self contained cases I was referring to when talking about formulatic , (don't think it's actually a word)!

The on going story was great and the last season had some really powerful episodes like the Shane one with his family.

Honestly , The first 6 series Still game is up there with the best sit com in the last 15 years

Absolutely brilliant

Confess not seen The Wire or Sopranos. Tried The Wire but couldn't get past the expletive-laden mumbling. The sound quality seemed terrible. Will give it another go as it so highly rated.

I can watch the Soprano's on Now Tv I have discovered.

Can't see it being doable though. Only available for 26 days more and there are 76 hours to watch.

Would have to blitz every day for quite a number of days.

Don't mind blitzing, have done it before, but not SIX whole seasons. :(
