So we should all ignore politics and be happy clappy? Worked well in 30's Germany, I suppose...

What??? You've completely lost me on that one. Relevance to a suggestion that someone with a different opinion needs educating...Politics? Germans? '30s? Have you gone off on a tangent or something?

Godwin would be :claping hands:

But probably disappointed he didn't crop up more often.

Do you travel over 200 miles for each match at the Ricoh. I do. Next week I will be travelling from Hampshire to Carlisle a 6 hour trip. So do not tell me I'm not a real fan if I don't go to the Ricoh on Sunday

No you are not a real fan if you go to Sixfields.

As a more real fan than you (I'll make up the criteria to fit my agenda) I have to override this I'm afraid.

So as I stopped giving SISU one penny more way before all this blew up, I suppose this makes me more of a real fan than most of this board?

I know someone who wasn't giving the club a penny long before SHITSU arrived, no doubt in anticipation of what was to become of us. In fact they don't even like football and have never been, which means they're not even giving SISCUM the oxygen of attention. Now that's a real fan.

Shocking thing to say. I seem to remember when Paul Fletcher came up With the idea of true sky blues being the ones who buy the padded seats there was uproar by many objecting to the fact that if they didn't pay £275 they weren't a true fan. Those of us travelling to Sixfields on Sunday do so with a heavy heart but we are just as much a real fan as those who go to the Ricoh. Enough of this talk about who are and arent real fans. We all are, some will demonstrate it by going to Sixfields. Some will demonstrate it by staying away. No one is right no one is wrong. Just different approach to supporting the team.

lets all stick together, IN COVENTRY

The kindest thing I can say about such people is that they are either weak-willed, lacking an understanding of the situation or lacking any principles.

Oh and this "everyone has a right to do what they want"-yeah, sure, fine. And everyone who thinks that it is wrong has the right to say so. Divided? Yes, we are. That's inevitable unless either: a)The 90% who won't attend "all come crawling back", or b)The 10% who will go whatever realise the implications of their vindicating this move and financially supporting SISU.

Sorry but I can't let you babble on with such inaccurate comments don't know who you think you are.................

I think you will find it is 95% and 5%
and it would be interesting to know how many of the 5% are actually bums in seats or paid for tickets.

You can't beat cov fans can you ? Some fans were slaughtered on here for not going to the ricoh last season with sisu in charge.always looking for someone else to blame.10, 000 ish fans were at the ricoh last season and only 15, 000 signed a petition 5000 attended the march.cant fault the few that care about what happens to their club unfortunately there's too many fans who don't care.a sniff of Wembley and 32, 000 turn up...says it all.

How is the Ricoh pitch these days?

I would suggest however that the REAL fans of CCFC don't turn against their own for having a different view on how best to help the club...

I was responding to people who "aren't interested in politics". You said "maybe they just want football, not politics". I said maybe, but ignoring politics is a very dangerous path. Rather than being people who want to ignore politics, "they need educating!". As in, for example, the cricketers who happily went on the rebel tours to South Africa because they didn't understand Apparteid-they "weren't intersted in politics". Most people in 30's Germany "weren't interested in politics" either was my point.

OK? There's your relevance. People who ignore politics aren't "having a different opinion": they're having no opinion. Such people get exploited. In history, but also in this situation.

Accusing others of being "weak-willed" etc - not kind. Just more divisive drivel IMO

A lot of people have said "I know I shouldn't go, but I just can't help myself". They've as good as admitted they've weak-willed themselves! And again, it's my opinion. All you seem to want to do is silence a view that doesn't match yours.

I thought I'd gone too far for a second there.

Then I read the bottom paragraph. You got me :claping hands:

I have no objection to your view. I do object to the name calling and bullying tactics that people are using to shout down those that will attend.

I know better than you lot because my morals are far better than yours. I've spent years fine-tuning my morals and now they're sharp as a needle. Quite possibly sharper than a needle.

The media often refer to any clubs hooligan element as the 'mindless minority'. Considering conservative estimates at present are around 90-95% of Covs regular fan base boycotting Northampton, I think they'll have to redefine that term for our lot....

........will be at the RICOH ARENA on SUNDAY because they are the ones who really care about the club.

The sooner SISU are gone from British fooball the better for everyone concerned.

Have never invested in the team - Loaded the club up with debt. - Constantly lied to the fans etc, etc

As stadium owners nothing would change apart from them lining their own pockets.

SISU OUT - KEEP COVENTRY IN COVENTRY
PUSB

You are a disgrace for even thinking that....

Not going to Northampton, not bothered if some people choose to go, it's up to them.

Certainly not stepping foot back in the Ricoh until the team i support club plays there.

Going to Shrewsbury away at the end of the month if that's okay by everyone.
