Coventry 0-2 Blackpool

Jesus Christ, that Chaplin chance. The JCH header as well.

What is going on for their first? About 4 of our players all going after it.

Hyam needs to get in the gym for the 2nd.

Looking at that, I don't think Chaplin touched it did he? At the time I thought he headed it wide, but he looks like he maybe misses the ball entirely.

As for their first, we have 1 City player marking 2 Blackpool attackers and 3 City players marking 1 Blackpool player. What the hell is going on there?

And Hyam is so weak there, so so weak. Made it easy for their striker. That' schoolboy stuff and embarrassing

And how did JCH miss the target with that second header?

I’ve written off this season now. I’ll go to games and enjoy seeing people and being at the football but I think I’ve clocked out of expecting anything.

Chaplin deffo gets his head on the first half chance, looking at the replay he'd have been better letting it come across and down and try to take it on the volley

Robins says it took a very bad bounce, but I don't see that from that clip.

Neither do I really, Chaplin misread the bounce of the ball and ended up stretching with his head

He hesitated slightly as it came not sure wether he would get it on the volley, or have to go with his head.
We all saw the result of his hesitation, felt a bit sorry for him at the time.
But have to admit it looks a bad miss on screen.

Agree to a point Otis,I was sat behind the cross. Convinced his hesitation cost him.

It's criminal we've not scored one of those chances.

Chaplin could murder a group of school kids and Robins would still find a way of making excuses for him.

He's so far up his arse it's untrue.

Sky Sports gave Chaplin his own page

WATCH: Conor Chaplin's dreadful miss for Coventry

Not sure why the pitch is to blame there, it was Chaplin not deciding whether to head it or kick it and trying to do both.

Hiwulas chance is the most annoying one out the lot....... Looking Back looks to me like Hyam is at fault for both goals as well, as for Chaplins he just misjudged it. JCHs second header should have hit the target!

Can’t see how anyone can blame Burge for either of those

That's pretty bad to be fair. Maybe it did take a bobble or something but you really have to be scoring those.

Agree.

I am a fan of Chaplin's, but it does look a bad miss to me.

Score that and I am sure we would have gone on to win the game.

No but we can blame him for poor kicking and distribution.. Awful command of his area and a general perceived lack of interest

I think he is a tricky and quite intelligent player. I think he makes good runs and makes space for himself. He can use both feet and DOES have a good shot on him, as shown last week at Plymouth.

He's still young too, so plenty of time to develop.

So many on here have bemoaned the fact that he has been played too deep or out wide and Chaplin himself had apparently been to see MR to ask to be played up front in his rightful role. He wasn't producing because he wasn't played in the right position.

We need to give him time. I can't believe that some want to get rid of him already.

Hiwula misses a stack load of chances too, Bakayoko has been injured and JCH's goal scoring exploits are hardly making anyone sit up and take notice.

I do think Chaplin may have been rested for a game or two if Baka was fitter earlier, but he wasn't and Chaplin IS now scoring goals.

I can be disappointed in him but still have faith in him can't I?

I think he will come good.
