How did you come to that?

Robins was starting McCallum quite regularly and then he made the comments linked above. He also made noises last year about preferring McCallum in certain fixtures. The way Mason is performing, I can see McCallum being first choice post-January anyway!

Played superb again last night reminds me so much of Man United legend Patrice Evra, good on the ball and proved last night he can defend, will be music to the ears of asset stripping Sepalla.

He was immense last night, particularly in that last 10 minutes. Just never stopped running, made plenty of tackles, started lots of attacks.

That PT he had over the summer certainly paid off.

He has been excellent, but I get the impression Robins really rates McCallum. Nice problem to have two such fantastic prospects though.

Pompey when chasing a winner kept going down our left. As soon as they did I felt calm. Also shows how shite they were tactically when we bring on an 18 Yr old lb to play rb for the first time as a pro and they targeted our strongest side!

You can't strip an asset you've added value to

How could we fit Mason and McCallum in the team together both very good, I’d play McCallum for his long throw but couldn’t drop Mason

If Shipley gets injured , could play McCallum left side of midfield.

In this formation it'd a bit difficult, as one would have to play midfield but being a left-sided central midfielder requires a different style of play.

A team playing 4-4-2 it's a lot easier as you just push them into the LM slot. I used to say that away from home we should look to play two attacking fullbacks down each flank because they'd both be capable of getting back as well as getting forward so no-one should be left exposed like you can get with a winger. Plus the two can swap, rather like swapping wingers and thus confuse the opposition about which one the full back should be covering.
