No, I sick of the dumb comments on here about Jack boots, Merkel‘s 4. Reich, German’s ruling the EU... the anti German stance by some on here. My missus is German and my daughter half German. I have loads of German friends and colleagues. So, I see it as Hunt. The racist twats on here can’t get enough of saying stupid things, and now they are suggesting conspiracy theories about Germany wanting an EU army to invade other countries.

It would be nice to have a rational conversation some time. ( Won’t happen ).

Grendel, occasionally you speak sense. It’s just a shame you’re such an angry, racist bigot who too often follows his darkest urges rather than his brain.

So you think revoking a treaty that 83% of the voters at the last election voted for is not an act of autocracy over democracy?

That’s one hell of a way to spin it. If you genuinely believe that 83% of voters were all for article 50/Brexit then fair play to you. I presume that you either didn’t vote for decades or have been endorsing and supporting EU membership for all of these years.

Troll off. I never have said Germany is better. Just that saying stupid things based on a country‘s stereotype Image is IMO racism. Which you seem to enjoy now that PC correctness being everywhere prevents you from insulting and mocking people of a different colour ( as you recently bemoaned ).

Which kind of echo my previous posting about Ranil Jayawardena comments on R5live. Applying labels without an in-depth knowledge of the person is dangerous ground.

There was a time in my lifetime that a man wearing make-up would be assumed (& sadly persecuted as being) gay. Then it was confused by punk-rockers & new romantics. Nowadays most of us don't give a damn if you do or you don't. Applying the labels in the early days simply confuses & slows down progress

No I don’t. I just slagged off Trump for getting morons to chant send them back about him telling non aryans to leave his country if they don’t like it. The point is that they are Americans and do like America, but don’t like everything about the way it is run. Then the deflection turns to you try to slag the UK off.

People on here think that if there is an EU army, Germany will control it and the suggestion is that Germany will use it to invade other countries.

I pointed out, that based on known facts, there is no evidence that anything of the sort will happen. Yes the situation can change at some future indeterminate time, but the likelihood of it happening as suggested is extremely remote.

The country that has been heavily involved in recent wars is the U.K.. following the logic displayed here, the UK would be more likely to be involved in future wars.

That is not slagging off the UK or bigging up Germany, it is pointing out that the reasoning by some on here that everything is a German plot, is pure Faragism.

How many bombs did Germany drop? Germany takes part in things such as observation, peace keeping missions, sending ships to control waters where arms are smuggled. It did not invade Iraq or Afghanistan or assist in the form of active military assistance. Passive yes, but not troops on the ground before the wars were over ( at least the attacking part of the war in Afghanistan ). In the first Iraq war, they didn’t participate in any military form, but paid billions to help cover the costs of the war.

See through Trump? Trump has a history of racism, his family business was prosecuted for it in the 70s. Trump lied about Obama’s birth certificate. Why do you think he did that? Nothing to do with Obama being the first black, or darker skinned president, a major event which should have been seen as a positive sign in the land of the free? Stop making excuses and trying to say he is intelligently trying to distract from his true motives by carrying on the racism which he, and before him, his father, has always showed. Admit it. He is a racist and has absolutely no conscience using racism to wind his base up. This distracts from all other disasters and criminal events going on around him. The latest great guy in his circle is Jeffrey Epstein. Feed the base more red meat and distract.

Trump has been in the public eye for decades. We know more about his views than about most people. He has been spouting his views for years. He jumped on the Central Park 5 case and continued wanting them executed as they were being proved innocent. He still casts doubts on the innocent verdict. They were black and the case was horrible so he kept it in news. Would he have done that if they had been white? Don’t think so, but cannot prove it either way. Just have to see how he tackles other criminal cases where the criminal is white.

As with Flynn, great guy, Manafort, great guy, Jeffrey Epstein, great guy, or Charlottesville equating white nationalists and neo Nazis with people protesting against Nazis... fine people... on both sides, or the morons chanting send them back referring to women of colour, great people, great crowd..

Nothing to do with men wearing make up type of labelling, a lot to do with the undeniable history of the clown in charge of a great country which was seen as a beacon of hope by millions of people and is now the plaything of a racist feeding division to maintain his power.

You quoted sayings that were racist, but said that you cannot use them as PC is everywhere. Why didn’t you say, I would never use them? Why blame it on PC being everywhere?

I was glad that we have moved on, but it seems these things which we call PC are now being called into question by so-called “free speech advocates”.

We shouldn’t need PC standards and laws to prevent us from insulting people based on such things as colour, but it is obvious that we do when people defend Trump or deny that he is a racist when he is stoking up the fire and pushing back barriers, or Tommy is making a nice living stoking up anti Muslim feeling.

Donald Trump, racist or radical progressive free thinker!?

Come on you’re stretching the bounds of credibility here.

It’s not to say he might use racism to distract from something else occasionally but it’s still racism and it still has the same consequences.

Where have I said that Germany is better? Where have I said that the UK is inferior?

Some things are better IMO, such as PR instead of FPTP, or having a written constitution. That doesn’t mean that Germany as a whole is superior or that the UK is inferior. We should always consider improving things, but there are constant reminders on here if German GDP slows, or the AfD do well, or if a German is ratified in the EU Parliament etc etc etc Selmayr etc.

If I put things in context, I am accused of bigging up Germany and saying that UK is inferior. Can’t win.

You use exactly the same bait as Trump. Trump says that the Muslim rep looks down on Americans. You say that I see the UK as inferior- in other words I look down on the UK.

He got the chants „send her back“ going by saying that. You get likes and probably a sneering Grendel post in support. You’re no different to Trump in that sense.

Blimey Donald, you haven't had much sleep have you ? You're trying very hard to paint your beloved Germany as whiter than white.
I think you'll find Germany military capacity has been slightly curtailed since 1945 for obvious reasons. How strong is the German Luftwaffe these days ?
Once again your'e doing the Donald Trump thing of twisting things in order to show your point of view is always right . You said that the UK has been "heavily" involved in war since 1945, and point out that Germany hasn't . When you has "heavily" are we talking conscription ? Are we talking women and children being brought into the factories to produce munitions ?
As for Germany being a wonderfully peaceful country these days, the rest of the world has ensured they never have the military capacity to repeat what happened twice in the 20th century. . The world is scared stiff of a Germany suffering economic depression and hyper inflation and has so far propped it up with, it has to be said, some success in the form of the EU. Your beloved , peaceful Germany has had its guns and tanks taken away and become the centre of the EU in order to keep it happy and the rest of us safe.
