We’re fucked already.

Ironically the last time this country had anything that you would even begin to argue was anything remotely like a functioning government was the coalition government. Something that was supposed to be a disaster for the country.

It was - the scene was set for the clusterfuck that followed. You could argue in hindsight that allowing it to go along for 5 years pretty much unchallenged is worse.

It also discredited the Lib Dems sufficiently that they struggle to get support as the party of Remain.

What? The EU will go along with what we say? When did they say that???
You seem to be suggesting that if Parliament says we will extend again until March 31st, the EU will say 'yes that is absolutely fine'...whilst there is just as much chance they might say - 'No, you're going & you're going on 31st October!'

Used to be a teacher, so you're not quite right yet again.
More importantly would you like me to recommend some evening courses in basic sentence structure so you can sort out your embarrassing inability to write properly?

Here’s the thing.

I’m very much aware that public debate these days is the 99% of people in the middle arguing with each other as if they’re all the 1% at the extremes.

However.

I’ve genuinely not heard from a rational Brexiter IRL. It always boils down to feels before reals. I’m desperate to find one so I can understand the logical reasons behind their choice. Literally the only Brexiters I understand are the likes of Farage and Mogg who stand to make bank from the UK collapsing, or dodge the incoming EU tax avoidance measures. Every normal person I’ve spoken to has ended up literally shouting slogans that don’t stand up to a moments scrutiny.

There’s got to be a way past this. One side talks in data and figures and the other in emotion and feelings. It’s like Men Are From Mars Women Are From Venus, there’s got to be a way for the two sides to understand each other. I dunno.

To say that it’s deal or no deal on the 31st of October is as presumptuous as saying it was deal or no deal in March. You’re not saying anything that wasn’t said about the March deadline. In many cases the same people who said it about the March deadline are saying it again about the October deadline. There’s always options, including delaying again or even cancelling.

No deal is unlikely to get through and as the people who know what they voted for know Parliament is sovereign, just like they wanted and it always was. If it doesn’t get through there’s almost certainly going to be a general election. You seem to be suggesting that the EU won’t delay Brexit for a general election and the possibility of a clean brush. That’s highly unlikely given if Labour get in they want a customs union, which is a million miles away from the Tories red lines (although pretty much what Boris and Ferage was selling in their referendum campaigns). Negotiations on the withdrawal agreement will be started again from a different starting place and a different withdrawal bill will be presented to Parliament. Why won’t the EU delay for that? They even said that any further delay will have to be because something different is being brought to the table. A customs union is something different.

I was pissed the other night. What’s your excuse? The sun is shining here. The biggest event in Northern Germany is going on. Kieler Woche. I have 3 bars running, including one overlooking the water. Drinking beer, watching the ships and boats sailing by. Sorry for not biting to your insults, but I really do have better things do.

Clearly you don't. All this information about doing this and doing that is quite sad. You're a very insecure individual who makes things up.

I don’t pretend to be a school teacher on one thread, or an expert on planning permission on the stadium thread, and I don’t need to get my enjoyment by trolling people on the internet. It’s you who is a sad person. Stick to carrying stones, it seems to fit your intellect.

Haha. You clearly seek out what I say on other threads, including planning permission on the stadium thread, which is news to me. "Carrying stone" earns me a good living these days and I have enough on my books to have to turn down other jobs. You clearly look down on people who do manual work even though you seem to give the impression of being in the "bar running" business which isn't exactly the world of Brian Cox to be fair.
But then again you're the bloke who "played dead" when "attacked" by a group of East Germans as I recall. One of the most imaginative pieces of fiction we've had the pleasure of reading on this site, so I take your claims to be doing anything at all with a huge pinch of salt. Keep up the pretence though, its highly entertaining and gives you a reason to feel important.

What is the intellect of the average brickie/carpenter/roofer/electrician/plumber/screeder/plasterer etc ? Have you got a level for it ? No doubt you have absolutely no skills in any of these fields as they are way below your intellect. Hats off to you pulling pints.

There are actually teachers on this site. They are sensible posters. I am surprised at your claim to have been a teacher. Your obsessive trolling and lack of meaningful conversation tends to suggest that you were a) not a qualified teacher or b) that you were a poor teacher.

Voting rights for prisoners is another subject. There are arguments on both sides, but in answer your weird statement, it wouldn’t be possible to give voting rights to specific prisoners based on their possible voting intentions. I suspect that you are more interested in encouraging the troll than discussing prisoners rights.

There’s literally no bottom of any barrel you won’t scrape to be a dick, but seeing as you brought him up wasn’t Peter Sutcliffe famously far right? That would mean you’ve thrown your lot in with him.

Would be funny seeing a corbyn government though, 4 years of him would do the centre, centre right the world of good, and this country tbh.

Not in the way you'd imagine though, it would kill off the socialist utopian dream forever... Which is great

Out of interest, what is your self assessment on things you have commented on in this thread? Modern European history, including the rise of Nazism? Economics, including the possible effects of Brexit? Economic and social English history? The difference between someone having a view on Brexit from a British point of view, and someone making propaganda for Germany ( presumably for Nazi Germany seeing as you mentioned
Berchtesgaden )?

On another subject, assuming you were actually a teacher, did you warn the kids about cyber bullying and internet trolls? Probably not, as you claim to get enjoyment from trolling on here.
