We've only played 9 home games, 14 still to play.
Some others have played 10 or 11.
Our great start has put us in a fantastic position.
If we can keep our home form strong we'll be fine for the autos.
wev‘e been in promotion form since lampards been here, can‘t see it changing,

I struggle to see us maintaining top 2 unless Doug goes wild in the aisles. Even me though can't see us messing up so bad that we finish less than 6th
Why?

It’s pretty obvious we will be active in the transfer market. Even dropping to 1.5 ppg (so win-loss) gets us to 83 points.

Boro are projected to hit 89-90 points at their current run rate. Southampton require 2.3 ppg and Ipswich also need 2.15 ppg to hit 90 points assuming they win tonight (2.23-2.27 if not). For context, this would need to be better than our 2.2 average for the 20 games this season and maintaining that gets us to 101 points. It’s mathematically possible but too much needs happen for us to drop out the Top 2.

By contrast, we need 1.76 ppg to hit 90 points so maintaining 2 points a game will more or less guarantee us automatic promotion unless both Southampton, Ipswich and Boro are flawless for the next 26-27.

For starters, our home form under Lampard has been too good.

Your comment on the transfer market is key. With a little addition or 2 I agree completely with you. I don't know that current resources alone will last a long hard season personally

The next few games will tell us a lot I think and I half expect to see the 2 week league break to be the time some transfer activity happens.

If this was our wobble month, I’d say we have come out of it well (although Ipswich game will obviously have some bearing on the judgement). Still need to recruit in Jan.

14th in the form table over the last 6. Definitely a bit of a wobble. More concerned by some of the performances, even when we've won.

We need to pick up to be top 6 form again fast.

This is a brutal set of fixtures post Xmas with 4 games in a row with only 2 rest days between the games since Boxing Day.

When you’re through the hardest month of the season and you’re only 8 points clear at the top of the league
