Disagree. Shrewsbury getting a very good player for that level.

Agreed. Fans have short memories. Shipley was often highly commended by opposition managers in League One when we were there.

I'm surprised a higher placed side wasn't interested to be honest. It's a great aquistition by Shrewsbury nonetheless.

All the best Jordan, you've been a great servant and 163 appearances at one club is a great achievement in this age. Shame he had to move on really, as he wasn't that far off IMO as the goals show and he did a great job at LWB which may suit him better at this level. But he probably wants to play in midfield anyway. Top signing for Shrewsbury, I hope he does well.

I wish him all the best, it's probably the right time for him to move on as he needs to be playing regularly, a new challenge is just what he needs, and I think it's a great bit of business for Shrewsbury.
Good luck Shipley.

I reckon he'll do well
A fresh start in new surroundings should do him good

lol PVA likes a post praising a player he thinks didn’t try and was stealing a living - starting a hateful thread to get negative comments about him

I mean you went after Biamou for years essentially for the crime of just not being that good despite him clearly busting a gut for the club and serving us across 3 divisions.

Also the first season we haven't had a sack Robins thread though you said one was 'oven ready'.

For you to call anyone out on unfairly targeting individuals is shall we say a bit rich

Both scored some cracking and important goals
Both just weren't good enough for Championship level
Both cared about the club and worked hard for it

He took the piss out of one every week but has a problem with others who did it to the other. And judging by how often Shipley could be found ambling around a pitch in 'languid' fashion and ducking out of tackles it's not surprising that got some attention. Just like when Biamou inexplicably booted the ball back into our half against Forest

That’s funny as Bobby Farrell couldn’t sing at all and was just miming while someone did all his work for him. Like Biamou he was a fake - the fans loved him but he was utter shite at his profession

Its an example - how about Chris “he could be our very own Gareth Bale” Hussey, Ryan “will play for England one day” Haynes or Gael “we will get £35 million” Bigiaramana

All above are the same category as Biamou - worthless crap who fans grossly overrated

I didn’t actually say you said he had a lack of effort. Just that you targeted him in particular and the selection above is similar to what has been said about Shipley. I could find more I’m sure but these are enough.

I imagine your real issue with Biamou was he was a convenient stick to hit the manager with and your beef there is to do mostly with his relationship with the owners. When people slated Shipley it would usually be after another disappointing display of walking around the pitch shirking tackles-does it justify vicious abuse no but it did warrant criticism.

I often agree with you on a number of fronts despite your persona on here but I just don't get this. May I just ask Grendel... Why was there a taxi for Robins thread 'oven ready' and drafted? Isn't that something you would write up in response to a poor run of form, underachievement or major bad decision from him? It seems you had this written up in case things went wrong, not because they had... which seems bizzare to say the least. I bet you were dying for the right opportunity to post it weren't you.

I assume as he was constantly talking about the lack of home wins after the first 6 home games
