Gus honeybun is not a real name surely?

It seems to be a rabbit puppet that appeared on television in the south west. The book is about Exeter City:

"Gus Honeybun... Your Boys Took One Hell of a Beating tells the story of a lifetime aboard the emotional roller-coaster of inconsistency which is Exeter City - one of English football's most unfashionable and unsuccessful clubs. Like many football fans, author Simon Carter's football supporting life is a long way from the glitz and glamour of the Premier League; instead its high points are memorable trips to Halifax, Crewe, Carlisle and Maidstone. With the self-deprecation you'd expect from an Exeter City fan, on his travels with the Grecians he meets Brad Pitt and Freddie Starr; writes about Uri Geller in the local newspaper... with miserable consequences; and wins a tenner for scoring a goal in front of 3,000 fans - albeit past a small girl dressed in a large turkey costume! Gus Honeybun... Your Boys Took One Hell of a Beating provides the perfect antidote to those many books which chart tales of glory and success, and gives a light-hearted and real-life insight into what it's like being a fan on the bottom rung of the ladder that is English professional football."

I have a funny feeling we've going to have our own "...real-life insight into what it's like being a fan on the bottom rung of the ladder that is English professional football" quite soon and it's going to prove to be anything but 'light-hearted'.

I don't think being banned will bother the CT much to begin with
It'll start to hit home when their mates keep going.
Same thing happened to me when I got banned from the oak in
Beccles, didn't bother me at first, but when me mates kept going
And I was left out, that really got to me.

lets face it.....

CT publishing an article on Sam Ricketts being confident we could get a result at Gillingham
or
CT publishing that the club have banned them

the club have played into their hands. Its a good day for clicks on the CT website today.

Unless there's questions that need asking that the owners don't want to hear or answer.

Listening to the phone in SISU really haven't gained a dot by doing this. They're not talking to anyone anyway. Stuart publicly challenging them to come on the phone in to answer the questions fans keep asking. Presumably when they invite them privately they get no reply.

Some interesting tweets this evening between Simon and Rob S.

The way Simon tends to keep asking if people are ok, must be the new one.

They wiled away a tedious Friday eveing

For ROb S's sake, he'd best hope his 'proof' is watertight... it's getting a bit over personal really.

You would think it has to be wouldn't you?

I don't think there is any going back if there isn't when you say shit like that. He seems to know exact dates and stuff though.

It went from "Are you ok?, you are obsessed, I dont know what you are talking about" to him knowing exactly what he was talking about.

Caught that one off you hasn't he Nick?

Very very odd conversation tbf. What are they both trying to say? Makes no sense and doesn't really help us either move forward

I have never said "Are you OK? X" Not even to Sky Blue Kid, but I might try it.

The way that conversation went is really weird. Simon tries his best to get away from it by saying "Are you ok, you dont know what you are talking about, are you obsessed", but then somehow seems to realise that Rob knows exactly what he is talking about.

You feeling ok Nick? Calm down

Oh I know it's almost embarrassing to read really. It's got nothing to do with ccfc. Just like it's a personal feud and sounds to me that "colleague" they mention could well be les Reid. Don't you think?

Unless it is related to the latest outburst.....

Thing is, Simon has always been like this when you question him even if it is a perfectly reasonable and constructive question. He posts conspiracy gifs to get out of questions. Now he has an army of angry people behind him.

ps. I have just had a snickers.

Sherlock Holmes has just tweeted that he's dropped the finding something positive at CCFC case in favour of the finding Lord Lucan case. More chance of success apparently.

They would have tried when the whole working with acl stuff came out.

What they should do is have an Andy Turner type working direct if they want to do it themselves.

Or even speak to Coventry today I like the idea of somebody doing what Andy Turner did just going in and talking about football and leaving the politics alone for a site like Coventry today or another independent website like that, just purely the football.

No disrespect to the people there now, but it's gone to shit since kieren went. He was putting everybody to shame. The apparent marketing team etc. He would make people feel more connected, even if it was a snippet about something funny that happened in training or something.
