Teams have won European cups and League titles playing as Sunderland just have - Helenio Herrera - Wikipedia - and it's a perfectly legitimate way to play football.

First half - Sunderland played ok in the first 20 minutes but after that? It could be said that this is where Coventry lost the game - as how many chances did you want to score a goal? You should have led 2 v 0 at half time at least. Not our fault if you miss sitter after sitter. That's on you.

Second half - Sunderland were poor again. the biggest fault is that we couldn't keep a hold of the ball for toffee and gave it away every 5 seconds, which simply invites wave after wave of attacks. Hardly surprising that you scored. Fully deserved.

Extra time - we didnt do much again in the first period but second period we played a load better. Scoring as we did? Normally thats us on the receiving end of that.

At the end of the day it's all about scoring goals. Both games we have played pretty much the same way and we have ended up winning.

So the third and fourth placed teams go to Wembley, where we will be underdogs again. Sheffield United hasn't won at Wembley since 1925 and we have won twice in 10 visits to Wembley since 1973. However I wont be there but I'll make sure my son is. I've been 9 times - thats enough for me.

We played defensively against them at the SOL, won 2 v 1 and at Bramall Lane we lost 0 v 1 having missed a penalty; so we will soon see if it's an even match up. I've no idea how it will go but will be delighted if we are written off again.

We may go there - play exactly the same - and win. If we do win then we all know what a hard job we will face in the PL. If we dont win then we will see everyone again next year in the Championship where we will hopefully be much stronger having used the Bellingham et al transfer money to good effect.

We got off Coventry City FC exactly what we thought we would get - 2 hard games - and we won through by playing defensively, as teams throughout history have done. It'll be interesting to see if any other teams start to do this.
Please don’t take this the wrong way but fuck off, your as bad as our sad fans that want to be friends on your forum,

And dox myself? Only way I can show my bank would be to edit the photo by cropping it down then it will be claimed I edited it, there's only about £100k in my personal bank anyway.
From what you've revealed on here i cant imagine its hard for people to find your details if they wanted to anyway.

Hate the blunts with a passion but want them to tear blunderland a new one at Wembley so we can get back to resuming our one sided record over those mackem shower of shite.

Well, they are arent they because we finished 5th? We’re top end.

Once the goalkeeping situation was sorted we gained alot of solidity at the back, and they were tremendous tonight. I 100% believe Thomas and Kitching can be a partnership next year, we need some experience with them to help them and us out throughout the season, because the lati/binks back up is way too weak.

MVE is MVE
Da Silva improved alot under Frank but LB/LWB has been a problem we’ve been plugging with loans consistently for about 5 seasons now
They aren't though! These are fine margins - when I say top end I mean challenging / having a real shout at winning the playoffs.

Thomas was at fault for the first goal in the first leg and Kitching isn't consistent enough. Clearly lost his man for the second. It's been happening consistently all season and the blend we have doesn't work.

Stop fighting with each other lads.

Tonight was cruel, and absolutely shit to take, but there is no point fighting between each other.

Losing like that is just ridiculous, we can over-analyse to fuck, but it isn't going to get us anywhere. There are much more important things going on.

Enjoy your summer, stay safe, and let's look forward to next year. We have all had questions over the squad and where we go from now, but we came pretty close in the end. I'm looking forward to what we can do next year and hope you all can too. In the end it exceeded my expectations, and if you had told me it would end this way in October/November, I would have ripped your hand off.

Safe travels to all those coming down from Sunderland. Hope you all get back OK.

But not every top defence in the country is fucking Burnley level of clean sheets. Goals are scored (thank fuck else it would be fucking shite to watch football) you have to just keep them to a minimum and score more. We havent scored enough goals over the last 10 games, thats where im more concerned with the starting players.

We absolutely need more quality depth in defence, and to work out what to do in Goal until Dovin is back, but for me, Forwards are where we need to invest in starters

We climbed Everest tonight but when we got to the top we forgot to clip on the last caribiner! A monumental effort from everyone involved but gutted at how the killer blow came. Unfortunately it was our Achilles heal most of the season and bit us on the Arse tonight regarding the defense and goalkeeping situation. It’s not time to call people out-people doing that really need to call it a day until the dust settles.
Just seen the Lampard interview and he was nearly crying and felt it just as we had.
They got out of jail but will get battered in the final. Hamer masterclass incoming.

Nah, just like the last two - hold your head up with immense pride - You'll get strangers approaching you when you wear some City garb, acknowledging you on our football teams prowess.
manchester United might win a trophy this season but the owners are only gonna award them with a BBQ at the training ground apparently.
Now that's what I call 'tinpot'.

You haven't won anything yet. You just got to the final after a grueling 210+ mins of football and barely squeaked through against a team that finished the season 7 points worse off than you. 2 of your 3 goals over the 2 games were gifts from us. I doubt Sheff Utd will be as generous or as toothless as us in the final third.

OK Dave, let's wait for the avalanche of Championship clubs rushing to take him off our books.
bet loads would snap him up if they could

you are being very silly, what with this and talking about hanging a Sunderland fan.

probably time to give it a rest, for your own good

Think you’ve seen it all the last few years and then that happens… Massive kick in the balls, but wasn’t meant to be

I hope our players remember their scruffs confronting them on the pitch at the end for when we play them next season (Cause make no mistake, Sheff U will spank them in the final)

Our time will come again, I promise you that

Get those season tickets on sale tomorrow morning and see you in August

He wasn’t marking Ballard ffs
Did a Star jump and powered it home.
If anyone's wondering why I was saying tfto, basically I prefer going out that way than on pens, we'd have possibly balls them up anyway.
Wasn't disappointed with the performance really, not sure of the inflexibility of the coaches though!

Smarmy c**t O'Nien, hope he wraps his car around a tree on the way home. Club should be doing everything they can to get him suspended for the final after his cheating.
Very complimentary to us in his after match interview. Haji should have been all over him but let him completely off the hook.

long way home

Obviously dont like either club thats in the final, but a Utd win leaves us with Sunderland who are always good for a few points next season. But a Sunderland win could mean a move for Gus that gets us a few more quid in the bank.

So in my mind we win whoever wins, that's my story and im sticking to it, only thing that makes it bearable to be honest.

The entitlement of some of our fans is amazing- expecting King to dip in his pockets. Sell and recycle. Hate today it but if we get a massive bid for Rudoni you sell and reinvest - we’re Cov not PSG.

So do you agree with the statement which I was replying to of “that’s us in turmoil now”?
