So obvious

Sheff utd will go up

Ipswich, Southampton and Leicester will be too strong and bounce straight back with parachute payments next year.

Mid table mediocrity

Can't be arsed

Why would we suddenly become a mid table team?

Wright was shit, Wright was brilliant and basically our attack for a period before he got injured

Credit to Sunderland, they have quality in the right places. Mayenda very good again. I don’t rate Ballard as a “footballer” but he is a good defender. I’ll be surprised if they can beat Sheffield United, but they’re in the lottery now so who knows.

Next season I want us to be a sustained top 6 team for the duration of the season, hopefully with some new forward signings who can effect the game a little more in this system.

Maybe, but if the league put the boots to Leicester as they should and there’s no guarantee Ipswich replace well after they get raided for their best players.
We can make another go of it next year, and looks a better year to try than this season did.

Gut wrenching way again to lose in the play offs but let's reflect on another great year.

We have not played the best football this season but we have done incredibly well to find ways to win games when not playing well. To get up from 17th in November - same points as Luton town to 5th shows heart and desire. This team has shown a lot of that this season. Today, as well as on Friday we were unlucky not to get the win we needed.

C'est la vie. Amazing support from us this year at the Ricoh, let's do it again next season. Have a good summer all.

Yes I'm sure he was being kept on for pens.

As for your second point BTA would be more likely to track back with fresher legs so that's why he went wide.
Yeah good point tbf.

It's a sickener to lose late on like that but all in all I'm not too upset.

Sunderland will get pasted playing like that in the final you'd imagine and in all honesty we didn't have a chance either.

People are slating Wright and usually post heartbreak emotions cloud the judgement.

But I can honestly say Wright has been shambolic the last month of this season. He's failed to control every ball, he's lost every ball, he's been slow, lethargic.

How on earth Lampard left him on I don't think I will ever know
ONLY reason he's stayed on is with Penalties in mind

I'd start Patterson on the left, Wright upfront, and bring Allen in to midfield instead of Sheaf.

That's as undeserved a result as you will see.

You can't really fault the effort, but that's an absolute sickener against a team that has offered very little over two legs of football.

Wright's been shocking since he's come back from injury, bar that one game. Awful. When he's off it, he's got no fight at all. You can't really excuse that.
You can’t excuse keeping him on.
Poor subs. If EMC is injured bring on Patterson and play BTA through the middle.
