Wright has been shit for a month, so out of form/ fitness. That said can't believe some of the talk on here. He's had a difficult season, horrible injury. Would have been good to be able to drop him out but everyone else is out of form as well. He can come good again. 28 in 74 isn't to be sniffed at.

Nothing to be ashamed of. We gave them a bloody nose, and it was funny to hear Sky's love fest for Sunderland (assuming they were going through) having to be toned down. Credit to Luke O'Nien at the end for talking about our team and our fans. Can be a tawt on the pitch, but a decent bloke off it.

Will stick my neck on the line and say that I don't think the 3 relegated teams this season are anywhere near as strong as last season's .
Leicester could be under an embargo/or points deduction
Southampton keep going through managers and will have their better players poached
Can only see Ipswich being really strong as they've maintained stability and seems to invest wisely

I’m not convinced by that. I have huge concerns defensively and up front. Huge summer to dictate where we are heading.
Kitching's beginning to look the kind of player that we hoped he was when we signed him. I think he's been really good since coming into the side. Him and Thomas are a good partnership.

We've the makings of a good team, and Lampard's got the summer now to properly mould the team to how he wants them to play. Play-offs were a bonus this year considering what he came into, but next year there's got to be a sustained challenge.

We have to work on beating teams in a low block, move the ball quicker to pull them out of shape. That's our real weakness, it often is slow, and risk-averse.

Gut wrenching defeat after we fully deserved to win this game and get through, Sunderland didn’t offer much at all. The only plus side is keeps a few quid in the pocket and we go again next season with a Lampard squad.
