Think what weakens the long throw slightly is the slow loop. They’ve got more time to deal with it.

The flat and fast ones do more damage and are nightmares to defend.

And I’m sure there were some vile comments on their forum about our forward line after the 5-4 win as well.

We haven't got the pace that they attacked us with. Yeah Sakamoto will do his twist and turn but he's not direct.

He should've been more direct on Friday. He took Ciskin on twice, got fouled twice, got him booked then started cutting inside and crossing. Even Le Bris said he had to change things up at HT to deal with Saka and MVE down their left. After Ciskins yellow card I don't think Saka tried to get past him again. Just cut back every time on to his left and crossed it.

If you'd of asked me any season over the last 6 or 7, I'd say I honestly can't remember the last time we lost back to back games. After a loss we ALWAYS come back fighting and wanting to prove a point and turn round the hangover from a loss. And I'd of also said we'll be hurting from the loss and will go to the SoL like a team possessed and win 3-0.

However, you're not asking from them previous seasons, you're asking from this season, and we've lost back to back games on 5 separate occasions this season, albeit one was a loss to Ipswich in the FA Cup, but back to back losses none the less (6 if you include it with a draw between rather than a win)
•Swansea lost 1-2 followed by Leeds lost 3-0 (included in this run was Spurs in the Cup too)
•Wednesday lost 1-2 followed by PNE lost 1-0
•Leeds lost 0-2 followed by Ipswich lost 1-4
•Sheffield Utd lost 3-1 followed by Burnley lost 1-2
•Plymouth lost 3-1 followed by Luton 1-0.
The possibly 6th was 5 without a win
•Derby lost 1-2 D D Burnley lost 2-0 D.
So do i see us turning it on and overturning a 2-1 deficit? Last few seasons 100000%. Now? I don't fancy our chances at all. Especially considering our away record and throwing away easy goals for the laugh.

You just don't know what team is going to turn up on the day. We're a bookies nightmare. And let's be honest, do we really want the embarrassment or getting spanked 4-0 at Wembley by next seasons PL whipping boys?

I feel the same. I just can't see it for some reason. In my head I have already written it off. As you said previous seasons I'd have every confidence

I'm pretty confident of a win in the 90 minutes. Then we enter the nervy 'who dares wins' period, and failing that the lottery.

Spot on, they should be on their knees at the end no matter what the result, especially wright, he looked like he could play another 90 mins on Friday

The big players need to turn up and Lampard needs to get the tactics right.

That happens and we win. Wrong selection and half arsed performances and it’s a repeat of Friday.

Wright, Grimes, Simms, Sheaf all need big performances after recent poor ones. Sakamoto needs another game where he’s on it - which is a rarity away - and Rudoni just needs to continue to show his class.

We turn up on form and with the right strategy, we’ll win. We aren’t playing Real Madrid here, this team is entirely beatable.

Exactly the same, was buzzing on Thursday, tonight I’m like, whatever, prob change tomorrow but it’s a massive ask, it’ll need a performance away we haven’t seen all season

Same - probably bordering on apathy but I just don't see us getting past Sheff Utd even if we somehow won tomorrow night.

Im resigned to another season in the championship and you know what I'm happy with that. I'm happy that we are challenging and winning more games than we lose - after a lifetime sniffing round the bottom of the table our footballing life is pretty amazing right now (despite the moans we all have).

The only thing I want us to do tomorrow is turn up - if they give it a go and lose fair play i can accept that but do not pull another derby/Portsmouth/Plymouth performance again.

Hope FL gets the tactics right and the players don’t let him and us down. I’m honestly much less nervous than last Thursday and think the weight of expectation last week got the better of the team. Time to turn the tables on them.

Same, as horrible as it will be possibly watching that lot celebrate and lording it over us, take that out the equation, I am pretty relaxed, maybe cause it is a big ask for us to go and beat Sheff U at Wembley as well or maybe it is because of my apathy towards going up and getting battered every week next season

Can't put my finger on it but I am quite chill about it all

Just been for a very sweaty run around central London with my City top on.

If that doesn’t inspire Ellis Simms to start scoring again, then I don’t know what will.

It was about three weeks ago, when we lost to two teams in the relegation zone in consecutive games.

I’m taking comfort in the fact I’ve just seen that the last team to lose the 1st leg at home but go on to get to the final was Derby. Led by super Frank.

He’s been in this exact same position before
