What Law of the Game are you penalising him for?

I'd like to see the non penalty award again, looked like the ball was in play before he blew to me.

Yeah saw that. But when you read this bit, it makes no sense. So if it's an offence on the halfway line it's a yellow, but because it's nearer the Sunderlands goal it's not a yellow.

Typical of our luck, Sheaf has probably his best half of the season and gets injured.
Having said that, we've got the ball forward a bit quicker since he went off.

It was. But it’s stupid that O’Nein can’t be booked on a technicality for what was clearly unsporting behaviour

Remember when McEveley flew through Lameiras at Bramall Lane? I’d love that on O’Nien, except:

1. We don’t have anyone stupid enough to commit to it.
2. Even if we did, we wouldn’t get away with it.

We just need to be clever about it.

If Robins is about to make a change, the player going off should take the booking.

It’s to encourage players to play on I don’t disagree it seems illogical

You say it every single game even when he plays badly.

Can see a red coming especially the longer it goes and if it stays same. They will get frustrated and this ref is very twitchy doesn't look confident in his decisions.

Going to be a long 45 mins if we keep conceding possession as we are.

Beale should take O'Nien off at half time if he has any sense.

Except let’s say he’d had been booked already the smart thing to do would have been not to play on so he got sent off. You shouldn’t have rules trying to get players to play to the whistle. That’s the managers job.

Well yeah if it's violent conduct or something but pretty logical that you can't penalise someone for "stopping a promising attack" when they failed to do so, we scored from it after all.

As always, pundits, commentators etc. trot out buzzwords like "intent" & "professional foul" which fans latch onto but they haven't been part of the Laws of the Game in years.

Even so, I don’t think Saka or MvE have it in them. Unless another player defected well out of position.

Point taken. It was sinical and a yellow all day IMO, if it's in the laws that something like that can't be punished makes the law an ass.

It that, the corner, and the arm to the face earlier on Simms. Whatever the rules there’s no way the guy should still be on the pitch. There’s being a hardman and there’s just being a nasty cheating c**t.

We were quite poor for the first 25. Defended well but passing was awful; just gave it back to them immediately. Wright and Simms not holding it up when they did get the ball.

Improved in the last 20 but still feel it could go either way.

Yet we have nobody who will get into him (until we bring Palmer on).

Something needs changing.

Another one they should have scored, so much space down our right for them.
