In a poll on this forum most people stated that they believe that Thorn is not up to the job.

Next you will be comparing him to a POW working in a concentration camp.

I believe it was more or less a split... half on here believed that he was either up to the job or we simply didn't know yet due to him not being given adequate resources.

(The poll was taken before the AS and PV games could serve up a reminder of how insignificant pre-season results are, I might add).

Can't believe some of the childish remarks on this thread. God almighty, I thought we all had some sort of intelligence but it seems I'm mistaken. Wish I hadn't started reading this drivel now.

People who really hate Thorn-it's all his fault, so SISU can't be to blame
People who really hate SISU/like Thorn-none of it's Thorn's fault, his hands are tied by SISU
Most folk-Thorn hasn't been given much to work with, but has had more support this season than last, so will judge him on this season.

i know its alot for you to take in here, but maybe, just maybe, there are some on here who actually dosen't like both thorn AND sisu.im one of them... and its nothing to do with his weight either..

Is Thorn Up to The Job?

Yes- 31.93%

No - 51.20%

Don't Know - 16.87%

Combined Yes & Don't know is: 48.8% - The majority believe he is not up to the job or are unsure of his ability. If you simply look at the Yes & No answers, then the majority do think he is not up to the job.

51 % IMO is very low immediatly after a 4 1 defeat to wrexham. I was expecting about 70%.

I am sure after Jennings and a striker signs and we win are next friendly we could have another poll.

I would gues even one now would be significantly different

I am sure that you would claim the same as me if the poll had been in Thorn's favour eh?

I would rather wait until 10 league games have passed.

If you would rather wait for 10 games why do you keep on about a poll after a big defeat against a lower team when a lot of people were feeling down?

No, I'm using a literary device known as an "analogy" to illustrate my argument that not questioning things leads to ignorance and compacency.

In other words yes, he was.

Laughable if it wasn't so offensive

Right, so you obviously don't understand what an analogy is then. Man, no wonder I annoy you, most of my posts contain them

No, I wasn't. If you want to try and turn this into some sort of "he's a Nazi" thing, you'll just make yourself look even more ridiculous than you usually do.

Seemed like yet another example of Godwin's law to me. Inappropriate hyperbolic comparison.

I don't think you're a Nazi, I just think you're shit at analogies

An analogy is still highlighting similarities between the two, which is laughable and possibly offensive to some.

Then how will you learn to not be a pretentious hyperbolist?

We're here to help you. But you must be willing to learn.

Very true.
I am a little concerned about people saying 10 games though.
As this is nearly an entirely New 11.
However I understand it is too important to wait too long.
I was thinking January. In time for the transfer window.
As long as we are not way off thr pace.
