any idea how far off torp is?
he's been the difference for me this season, and it's clear we are missing him massively.

Wright just missed an open goal from 1 yard

He doesn't know how to head a ball, he just lets it hit him instead of directing the ball into the goal.

A Mick Ferguson or Colin Stein would have buried that.

He's cost us a playoff final and now a result today. 😡

Haji has to score the header

It was a bad miss and definitely should’ve scored, but to think there were 2 bigger missed chances is crazy.

I can’t complain at the result, Stoke on another day could’ve scored 3-4 in the 1st half.

Although I get the frustration from Lampard, we were the better team in the second half!

Of those 20 isn't it 13 at home and 11 away? I guess we can now rotate the front 3 every game pretty much, preferred front 3 get 60 minutes at home, the second set 60 minutes away? Does that keep everyone fresh enough and give everyone a chance to hit some form?

I think us playing 4 additional games than everyone might be considered a disadvantage

It was certainly a much easier header to score than the one Simms had previously that produced a good save that he got pelters for on here.

getting a bit sick of not winning and the severe lack of goals.

I agree. The goals have dried up and it's a big concern.

In the early part of the season we were scoring around 3 goals a game. If we could have kept that up we would have scored 25-27 goals in the nine games since the beginning of December. We have actually scored 7.

Only in the Birmingham match, which we lost 3-2, have we scored more than one in any game in that period.

Why is bad form more likely to stick around than good form?

We look completely toothless….the culprits….the flu/ Covid/ injuries , Ipswich, good team, punished us and damaged confidence, our strikers are pretty damn shite and this obsession with playing everything through Rudoni who takes too many touches and then loses the ball. He’s screaming for the ball all the time and we’ve become too one dimensional by giving him it.

It won't necessarily but it's been going on for nine games and there is currently not much sign of things improving. The hope is that, with Torp and BTA back and the new signings, we will soon turn the corner.
The form will stay as it is if we have a relegation quality squad, we don't have one so it won't. Our earlier season form of winning nearly every game would stick around if we had a team stacked with top class players, we don't have one so it didn't.

What we have is a top 6 squad that really outdid itself for a big chunk of the season. Performing like one will be enough to get us over the line.

We had a bad run last Xmas and we were always going to struggle again with the amount of games and squad size, we added grimes last January and it gave us a boost, looks like the new lads will do the same, not sure we’ll be back to battering teams but expect us to start winning again,

We will have to wait and see. Teams can overperform or underperform compared with their expected level and so far we have managed to do both this season.

Leicester was an example of a team that overperformed for a whole season when they won the Premier League and history is littered with relegated teams that were "too good to go down".

We must hope that (a) our recent poor run hasn't dented confidence and thus made a continuance of our poor form more likely and (b) the new signings - hopefully with one or two more to come - and the return of Torp and BTA kickstart another good run.

He also earned us an fa cup semi final if your are highlighting single moments in games. It is becoming a witch hunt now among the fans. A section behind me slagging him off all game then sing his song after he hits the post. It's at the point now I wouldnt blame him if he gives the ssssh sign to the fans after he scores.

If he scored 10 more goals between now and May and shushed the fans every time, I’d take it.

We have some very fickle fans with certain lines they trot out about certain players at the first opportunity.
