With sky diving you get a reserve chute - With a thin squad you don't get much in the way of reserve at all.
So in that case, yeah it's a good analogy if you want to view sky diving as precarious.
A training session is akin to hopping onto a thick mattress, not jumping out of an aeroplane at 10,000 feet. Then we shouldn’t be running training sessions.
I thought we needed at least two more signings minimum to make a proper go of it?We weren’t in with our best chance of promotion in a quarter of a century with a squad that looked shattered, but you know that.

Trying to look at a comparable game while he was here, he would definitely make some changes (Wrexham, Oxford) for lower league opposition but when we last had a home tie against another Championship team it was full strength (Derby 2022, no I don't remember it either).I am curious what kind of a team Stoke will put out. They seem to have possibly got out of their slump with two good away wins in the last two games, so I am not sure if that effects the way they would approach this match.
no I don't remember it either
Surely they need to play.I wouldn't want the 2 newbies anywhere near this game. For me the whole point of them was to strengthen the promotion push
I expect Robins will be quite keen to beat us.I am curious what kind of a team Stoke will put out. They seem to have possibly got out of their slump with two good away wins in the last two games, so I am not sure if that effects the way they would approach this match.
Exactly.Surely they need to play.
Don't need to throw them in cold versus Leicester.
5th RoundIf I recall correctly, we beat Stoke away in the 3rd round of the cup on our way to our famous win in 87. However, I’m really not bothered about the cup this year and want us to focus on the league.

Midlands today ( last night because every story is based in Stoke ) would have you think that Stoke is a no go area because of snow ?
The most dangerous away end I've ever been in due to overcrowding and crushes against the barriers - but what a gameIt was the fifth round away to Stoke.
1-0 Gynn. Terrible game. Great SBA support.

Dangerous it was.
3rd round was a home win against Bolton. One of the coldest I’ve ever been at a game.If I recall correctly, we beat Stoke away in the 3rd round of the cup on our way to our famous win in 87. However, I’m really not bothered about the cup this year and want us to focus on the league.
