With sky diving you get a reserve chute - With a thin squad you don't get much in the way of reserve at all.
So in that case, yeah it's a good analogy if you want to view sky diving as precarious.

Then we shouldn’t be running training sessions.

A training session is akin to hopping onto a thick mattress, not jumping out of an aeroplane at 10,000 feet.

We weren’t in with our best chance of promotion in a quarter of a century with a squad that looked shattered, but you know that.

I thought we needed at least two more signings minimum to make a proper go of it?

To make a go of not fucking up our best chance due to our clearly tired squad yeah.

Luckily Lampard agrees with me and not you on this.

One of them, can never want my team to lose but will be over it in 5 mins if we do. The priority is clear and we may never get another chance like it.
Would like to see both new boys today.

I am curious what kind of a team Stoke will put out. They seem to have possibly got out of their slump with two good away wins in the last two games, so I am not sure if that effects the way they would approach this match.

I’d be going on holiday on football manager for this one.

Trying to look at a comparable game while he was here, he would definitely make some changes (Wrexham, Oxford) for lower league opposition but when we last had a home tie against another Championship team it was full strength (Derby 2022, no I don't remember it either).

Surely they need to play.
Don't need to throw them in cold versus Leicester.

I expect Robins will be quite keen to beat us.

Midlands today ( last night because every story is based in Stoke ) would have you think that Stoke is a no go area because of snow ?

If I recall correctly, we beat Stoke away in the 3rd round of the cup on our way to our famous win in 87. However, I’m really not bothered about the cup this year and want us to focus on the league.

Exactly.

Leicester is a big game for multiple reasons, getting some match minutes today will prepare them better than any training can.

I always call Midlands Today 'Worcester Today' - almost every other story is about some non-news story there

The most dangerous away end I've ever been in due to overcrowding and crushes against the barriers - but what a game

3rd round was a home win against Bolton. One of the coldest I’ve ever been at a game.

Yeah, 3rd round was home to Bolton on a frozen pitch.

I was lucky enough to get to every cup game that year.
