John Sharp needs the council in his plans to upgrade the Butts. If CCFC are to play there then CCC have to agree.

Until CCC are on board, CCFC have only got the Ricoh as an option.

Grendel claims CCFC want 2 + 2 from Wasps, but Wasps won't accept that. If they had the option of the Butts, maybe they could do a deal there, which would put Wasps under pressure.

CCC will not play ball as long as JR2 is in the air.

As you say, it is not just money.

The council - who represent all of Coventry and were elected by the people of Coventry to do that. Plus I take if for granted- unless you can show otherwise- that most of Coventry accepted the council's position- there have been no campaigns or marches against the council selling to Wasps. Yes, we are pissed off, but apart from waiting for SISU to come back - them having said that they weren't going to - there weren't any other obvious solutions to the problem.

You have said the people of Coventry weren't happy but now you are saying the council weren't?

A lip service bid from Sisu for gullible fans like you after half the stadium had already been sold to Wasps!
I can tell by your posts you genuinely believe Sisu have been hard done by, but your a clown if you think that was a genuine bid.
Even when they made the bid they said they was still going to build a new stadium!
Three years on where is this stadium, what have Sisu done towards it?
One minute they are in court saying the Ricoh is worthless then they are in court saying it was under sold!
How can anyone take anything Sisu say seriously?

You're getting confused again. Sisu haven't been hard done by because they don't give a shit about what's going on here. CCFC have been hard done by but you seem happy about that because in your warped mind this is hurting sisu.

I think you are might the one a bit confused. SISU came here to acquire the Ricoh and the surrounding land for as little as possible and CCFC was their way in, so far they have failed miserably in all aspects including being embarrassed in what they claim to do best "battering people in court" I would say they have been very hard done by.

And two other regular clowns liked your comment!
Update make that three clowns any more takers?

Can you point out how him saying that is defending anybody?

Typical frothy comment.

Why not just fuck off to watch Luton or do whatever else it is you do when you clearly aren't interested in CCFC until a thread like this comes calling?

If you don't like people on a CCFC forum supporting CCFC, I'd suggest again to fuck off back into the hole you crawled out of with the others.

Both. And obviously without a survey I cannot say how many. But no councilors have been defeated at an election because of the Ricoh. No demonstrations, no privat JRs. No major protests at all. If people were generally unhappy, someone would have protested. We are in the minority.

Its a shame there are a minority of arseholes that support CCFC think they are super fans, who can't identify who is killing our club, but would rather blame the rest of the world!

Don't know. If they can placate a whole city when the council have made an evil decision, then they deserve their money. But, I don't think they're that good. I think people are not up in arms against the council because of the way SISU have acted. SISU have done more to put people on CCC's side than Weber Schandwick could dream about.

Nobody gives a toss if SISU have been hard done by or not. Its just that some people do actually care what happens to the football club and its survival takes priority for them above 'getting one over' on SISU.
Grendel said:

Exactly. This thread proves it. Straight away people are jumping in pointing the finger at SISU excusing anything done by anyone else. Wasps could offer us a totally unaffordable deal and SISU would get moaned at for not accepting it.

You are correct Dave. SISU did make a slightly higher offer than Wasps, but were with conditions. Wasps offer was unconditional.

Its like being in a timewarp. As has been discussed many times before the Wasps offer was unconditional as they had already had access to the information required. How on earth anyone can have a problem with the football club doing due diligence to ensure everything is above board is beyond me.

This post has completely summed up the point of this thread. We've been talking about how Wasps and CCC can do what they like because people just blame SISU for everything and you're turned that round to some sort of endorsement of Wasps!
There were many other solutions. There were also other options prior to SISU's arrival. The council have never wanted CCFC to have control of the ground, that's the plain and simple fact people happily ignore.

I think you're a bit confused. The whole reason we ended up with SISU in the first place is they were the only bidders who didn't want ownership of the stadium, that wasn't part of their plan.

I might be one of these people. I still attend the Ricoh but my visits on here are sporadic.

I might more involved with debates like this, this is about the very future of the club which I see as a bit more important than the the line up against Cambridge on Saturday. Watching other teams is not really an option for me unless I get hypnotised.

They used CCFC as a way in, part of a large corporate raid I think they call it. Given how the events have spanned out that is so obvious, though not to you it seems.

Let's get this straight.... CD. If Wasps finished talking to SISU. Yet I show you Eastwood saying in a "Quote" that Wasps are open to negotiations, it means they haven't changed their minds on "Negotiating" (In your view).... I could be as pedantic as you when you "Quote" SISU as "Not wanting to buy the Ricoh" in one breath.. Then saying They weren't given the same chance of buying the Ricoh as Wasps were!!!

I know your post was directed at someone else John but I couldn't help but notice what a complete wanker you are and felt the need to point it out.

From someone who offers no evidence of any facts to the debate ever, it is amazing you decry someone else's post so much.

As for Dave being a clown, I think the clown around here is the person who has admitted attending Luton games more regularly than they do Coventry City. Perhaps you should change your name to Hatters John.

No, your posts content and good timing to pop up discredits things more than enough. You are on a CCFC website for CCFC fans, yet you are baffled that calling CCFC fans pathetic names while you have gloated about watching another team instead makes you look a twat, Pair that up with timely appearances and it doesn't need where you live to even be mentioned.

The same article you reference has Eastwood finally confirming they were invited to talks, which he had previously denied, and stating that they had rejected that request.

If they are open to negotiation and happy to talk why when asked to attend talks do they say no?!

I don't live in cov and I'm not offended by it at all because I still have a season ticket to support my fucking team. I've even attended City and Rovers games on occasion with mates. The problem isn't going to watch another game of football it's being a prick about people who still turn up no matter what while giving your much needed money to another fucking team.
