Nah it’s a fair point. I just think there’s going to be an element of crowd control in our transfer policy this summer and with some players it’s going to be more about getting them out the door than squeezing the very best fees out of Championship teams. But I obviously hope for everyone’s sake that you’re right, I really rate Simms at this level too.

I think the fact he’s only got a year left might work against him tbf. I’d expect us to prioritise those who only have a year left for sales: him, Lats, Sakamoto might all be told they can go for a low fee if they aren’t in our plans.

I mean, the standard ones are X goals X appearances. Entirely possible it’s 25 goals and 100 appearances. We can be fairly certain there’s a promotion clause as that was mooted at the time.
