Would LOVE the club to build a proper, modern training / youth academy on that land (assuming the club now owns it)…

Wouldn't be big enough for that.

Certainly big enough for a new build apartment block, fan zone, offices whatever.

I'd love to see a newly planted wooded area there for recreation. Sod all this urge to pave over everything.

Going to be fascinating to see how the club develops from here.

They've gone from:

Revenue streams <<< Match-Day Tickets

TO (correct me if I'm wrong)....

Revenue streams <<< Match-Day Tickets, Hotel, Rent paid by Casino company, Car parking (?), Catering, Stadium name sponsorship, Exhibition Conference events, Pop concerts.

There was talk of spare land earlier, I wonder if the club will build some flats there? For renters, location-wise it wouldn't be too bad, train-station and M6 J3 nearby. Tescos and other shops nearby.

Bet everyone pining for a shitty 10k stadium on the outskirts of the city/Warwickshire are absolutely devastated.

How fucking thick do you lot look now 🤣🤣🤣

Yesterday was genuinely one of the best days of my life.

I think we will be back in the Premier League in the next season, two at a push. Everything is aligning, and we are currently slaying teams.

If Doug wants to sell after that, I won't blame him at all. He deserves it, and he's left us in a much better position.
Maybe to the guy who's took a stake in Man U, Oh I hope not!

I really hope we don't sell the club to an apparently rich joker. See Blackburn, Hull and Sheff Wed etc.
Think King may want promotion and to sell us at a large profit.
We are suddenly a very attractive proposition. Perhaps Wolverine or Iron Man will be interested?

Has anyone ever confirmed the rumours about the land being contaminated?

For a city growing in population and building on brown/green belt land, it seems bonkers that so much land around the ground hasn't been built on.

Birmingham will allow developers to come in and build a shit ton of new build apartments.

I know the train line is rubbish on match days, but it provides a 5 minute train into the city centre. It's an area people could commute from.

You build residential and you'll gain other benefits such as new eateries, bars and shops. Just look at other stadia in this country which has done the same.
I suppose it depends on traffic problems if you were to build a lot of housing on or near the site. Is there room anywhere to build a new road to take traffic away from the arena on a match day?

And who would want to spend much on a home with all the restrictions that would come with it other than those wanting to walk out their front door and into the game?
