It will have to be, because "The Doug King Stand Up And Take. Bow Stand" is too many letters.

I always felt the biggest thing to hold us back from success was going to be the lack of stadium ownership and not having the revenue streams we need. This is a complete game changer and I’m more confident than ever we can build this club back to the Premiership. This is more important than anything for us this season. Monumental in fact.

What a way to announce it aswell, no leeks or ITK hints. Just a tweet out of nowhere on the morning of the game before everyone gets on with their day - brilliant.

Maybe Doug can look into all the years she attended using a dodgy disabled assistant ticket and ban her from the premises?

Brilliant news. Another defining moment in the club's history. I hope we look back in years to come and are able to say, that's when it all changed for us. Onwards and upwards. Cannot wait for the atmosphere today. PUSB

No more transfers ever. An 80 year old Jack Rudoni gets wheeled out to play in our crucial League 2 relegation battle in the stadium THAT WE OWN.

We've never technically sold it but SISU did mortgage it. I would assume that's been settled as part of Doug's takeover.

It would be great to bring the academy fully back in house now combined with the training ground and go for category 1 status.

This is more or less in line with what some have been saying about the lack of transfer activity. You never know what's happening in the background. I hope some posters (one in particular) will stop having a continual dig at DK from now on.

Hyam sold to pay for the pitch. Binks sold to buy the ground.

Hope Doug has the Frasers lettering in the stand replaced with his own name like Chansiri at Sheffield Weds.

Hope not. Really pleased he has managed to do this but much prefer an owner who operates in the background than one who does things for self aggrandisement. I always thought the Doug Ellis Stand at Villa sounded tinpot.

Unless it’s to sell the club I don’t see the point here. Costs loads to maintain and makes no money, that’s why it’s been a hot potato from day one.

Oh right, sorry went on a tangent there. Yeah probably! If we don’t sell anyone and can do some Jan business I’m generally very happy.

I can only assume that the £15m injection earlier in the summer must have been earnest money (AKA a ‘good faith deposit’) for negotiations around the Arena.

Or it’s £15m upfront, with the rest payable on promotion which is why Ashley is so confident (hopeful) of us getting promotion with Doug at the helm!!

Whoever said the chief business officer woman from PSG came in to oversea this purchase and then find us suitable new owners, I think they may be bang on the money.
