We’ve bought our own Arena, Sky Blue boys!” (clap clap)
I got an email that's how I saw it.What a way to announce it aswell, no leeks or ITK hints. Just a tweet out of nowhere on the morning of the game before everyone gets on with their day - brilliant.
You would accept if the club said no more transfers but we purchased the stadium…
We've never technically sold it but SISU did mortgage it. I would assume that's been settled as part of Doug's takeover.Do we own the training ground ?
Do we own the training ground ?
No more transfers ever. An 80 year old Jack Rudoni gets wheeled out to play in our crucial League 2 relegation battle in the stadium THAT WE OWN.
Take home to the place I belong, west stand to see the city, take me home CBS (needs work)
Hope not. Really pleased he has managed to do this but much prefer an owner who operates in the background than one who does things for self aggrandisement. I always thought the Doug Ellis Stand at Villa sounded tinpot.Hyam sold to pay for the pitch. Binks sold to buy the ground.
Hope Doug has the Frasers lettering in the stand replaced with his own name like Chansiri at Sheffield Weds.
Unless it’s to sell the club I don’t see the point here. Costs loads to maintain and makes no money, that’s why it’s been a hot potato from day one.

Amazing news. I wonder if Doug has given Mike Ashley or Frazers some equity in the club to help facilitate the deal? Being pragmatic having the assets combined makes us a far more saleable entity in the long run and all parties will know that.
Either way excellent for the club and f
Wonder if he will plan to open the halls for fan zones every week? If the club gets the money then the more beer and food the better?
