Supporters have accused club officials of creating division among Coventry City fans.
The Sky Blue Trust hit out after the club announced only season ticket holders will be able to attend the first CCFC Stadium Forum meeting to shape a proposed new home for the Sky Blues on Thursday.
A meeting open to all supporters is scheduled to be held later in the month, but the decision to bar those who do not attend Sixfields from the first meeting caused anger among some fans.
Supporters were recently asked to apply to join the CCFC Stadium Forum panel but none have been selected as yet with the process expected to take several months.
Jan Mokrzycki, from the Sky Blue Trust, said: “It is a shame if they would like all supporters to be united behind this new stadium.“It seems to be creating division, two tiers of fans, it should have been open to anybody on a first come first serve basis. It should not matter if you go to Sixfields or not.
“There is already enough division among fans and then the club seems to say the opinions of people who go to Sixfields are more valued than other supporters. It just seems strange.”
Supporters also raised issue with the fact no location has yet been identified for any potential new stadium.
Michael Orton, of the Keep Cov in Cov campaign, said: “A large number of City fans do not believe a new stadium will be built.
"There is a lot of concern about why this is taking so long. Rather than vague talk, the most important thing, if this is real, is the site and that is what really matters.
“A stadium on the city boundary is one thing, but a stadium near the NEC is a completely different matter.”
Sandra Garlick, head of the CCFC Stadium Forum, underlined that all supporters would eventually get the chance to attend a forum meeting.
She said: “There will be an open meeting later in the month and a further meeting for all those who have registered an interest in being part of the committee.
"Meetings will be scheduled throughout the coming months so that all fans have an opportunity to input their views. The process will be wholly inclusive, and this first meeting is the start of the process.
“I have said all along that my only interest is to ensure that the club returns to the Coventry area in a home that reflects the tradition and ambition of the club, and the wishes of all supporters.”

You have to wonder if this Sandra Garlick is receiving money under false pretences, she is a highly respected solicitor so obviously no mug but here she is forming a so-called committee to discuss project detail on a stadium where as yet there is no site, no hint of a site even yet there are supposed to be two possibilities, no planning either. As I said she's no mug and I would say almost certainly if there are sites she knows where, so I ask those who attend before any questions or debate ask and keep asking where the proposed site is, just a north, east, south, west of Coventry would do for now.

I very much doubt that the second round of meetings will ever happen. They've got to be seen to be doing something and what a perfect set of yes men to invite along.

Now there's a thought. Thinking about it it wouldn't take a lot to get the whole shitty meeting abandoned.

I just hope that the current season ticket holders don't just think of themselves at this meeting. And see it as an opportunity to discuss the criteria required for the return of all the ccfc fans.
Remember if the 90% of fan base can't be encouraged back then Ccfc has no future.

Exactly, what difference does not filling the corners in do to the atmosphere.
You cant walk around the ground and you need 4 separate catering facilities.
Even at Highfield Road they tried to match the height of the stands so they could fill the corners in for the East stand.
Four self supporting roof structures also make is more expensive.

Do that though and the club would then just have no engagement with fans and would make everything a closed shop............I know that probably wont make much difference in that SISU have done what they want anyway, but at least with fans being able to go (and I mean both meetings for ST and then non ST holders) we may at least get some sense of how much bullshit is on the table and when they really aim to try to get their hands on the Ricoh.

I would have thought that waiting for the location to be announced first gives plenty of time to have an input on this.
I might be interested in making a contribution if it was North Coventry as I am in Bedworth.
But if the stadium is in Leamington, Kenilworth, Solihull or Rugby I would loose interest in the club altogether.
This is just a farce until location is confirmed and I hazard a guess it's timed for the JR.

I have news from a reliable source that the new ground will happen and as we have all been told its not in Coventry, the location is Ryton and its the old Peugeot site as rumoured by many.

Its definatley not here. Its been confirmed on BBC CWR that the site was purchased amd planning permission granted to a company thats business related and nothing to do with football. If i can find the link i will post it.

Wellthats a difficult rumour to spread. The old Peugeot site is now owned by Prologis and being built on as we speak. But if that became a possibity planning will be difficult the residents of Ryton and surrounding villages like Bubbehall and Baginton have in the past fought off expansion plans when the car factory was there and had been for years and similarly with plans for a larger passenger terminal at Baginton Airport that was also killed off. A football stadium that needs to be multi-purpose for extra revenue streams, Fishers words, doubt it very much.

Are you hoping to actually see stadium plans, if you are does that mean that Sisu/Otium have purchased a site and had plans drawn up in readiness for planning permission or even to build ? Surely if that was the case we would have heard by now considering the song and dance they made about a couple of pictures that a schoolkid could have done on a decent turbocad. Will be interesting though to see what comes out of this meeting and how the people who attend Sixfields view it.

Would be interesting if someone there could ask her if she is receiving a fee for this. Alternatively, if she is getting cheap or free advertising as a result (or maybe a couple of season tickets for Sixfields) and an add on question that if she does business in Coventry and due to the unpopularity of this proposed move, does she think that being associated with it will affect her business.
