Who pays up front to watch the same show 7 nights in a row?

Would you then sign up to the show's website to tell them week in week out how you won't be going and being a dick to those that do? I doubt that very much.

Aah sorry , it must have been the 'Morons' comment that started your usual cunty comments again........

It can't be compared to going to the theatre can it?

1. You would always pay up front to go to the cinema or theatre anyway.
2. Is not knowing the starting 11 for the first game a new thing?

Every football match is different, I'm not too sure people would pay to watch the same film over and over every week no matter how good it was.

Again, would you then sign up to the show's fan page and post every week how you weren't going to go?

I'm sure you can buy a season ticket for the theatre so if you were not happy with the shows they were producing I'm sure you would not renew.
After all most shows are only on for a few nights so you wouldn't be watching the same thing every week.

I haven't had a ST for a lot of years. But that is down to other reasons than not wanting to go. But I go when I can. But last season did it for me. Home games were a chore. They were no fun at all. So I ended up going to away games only. The games may have been just as bad but the rest of the day was a good laugh. It was the only thing that kept me going. So I fully understand why others are reluctant to pay for another season that could be just as bad. The vast majority of them are not interested in NOPM. But they have had enough of mediocre players and mediocre games. Then you have the false promises. All trust has been lost.

We are now a division 4 club. But if we can at least compete I will be back to the home games as well as away. If I lived locally I don't think that I would be getting a ST until at least I saw that we had a chance of winning games.

Yep-spot on and could have wrote that post myself. That's exactly where I am with it at the minute also.

This is proof again that SISU are deliberately trying to downsize the club - they're now threatening that you might be punished with spending match day in the Boardroom if you buy a season ticket. Oh well, at least there'll be lots of space.

After Season Ticket purchasers Jack Gardener and Steve McKenna won a trip to Ryton, an Executive Box and a signed home shirt previously, our next prize for Early Bird purchasers is the chance to spend match day in the Boardroom!

I know it's a bit early but the biggest gimmick to get the fans to buy is a bit radical sign some players

Yes you can. I used to have one years ago at the Royal THeatre in Northampton. Stopped it as the standard and regularity of productions dropped.

Don't have a season ticket but I do go to most shows that are put on by the criterion in Earsdon.

It's just a room with a white board and some drywipes so you would be ok.
Just jot down some ideas for them no swearing though.

Do they see spending the afternoon with Tim Fisher and the other hostage takers as a prize?
FFS do they not understand what's going on here ?

Strange one this. Can't get enthusiastic about seeing players that are just passing through after a few months being here.
Hero's to me are players that stay for years and sort of become 'friends' although you've never met them.
Bill Glazier and Tommy Hutch hand shake the other week down the casino bought a tear to my eye.
That was a prize for me that lasts.

I think in this case it's more about a behind the scenes look at what goes on at training rather than watching heroes; unless you're prepubescent there are no heroes in football any more. I'd certainly be interested to see who is actually coaching, how seriously it's taken, who stands out etc particularly after Robins has assembled his new squad. Appreciate I've taken an isolated and subjective view on this 'prize' though. In the context of the wider debacle it's open to a fair amount of criticism and mockery - these rewards were either an afterthought resulting from the ST pricing backlash or very poorly marketed in the first place. While I feel that this is exactly the kind of thing the club could be doing much more of, they'd have to get it all spot on over an extended period of time to even start denting the fan's wrath and scepticism.

I think the clubs"offer" is reflective of the current situation we are in. I'm no fan of our owners, but imagine the reaction if the club speculated a serious amount of cash on promotional activities......we would question if that money should have been directed to the team.
What's really worrying is the lack of vision, leadership and a focussed driven business plan for the club. I fear we are drifting to non league

I think the day at Ryton idea would be good if it was extended to all season ticket holders, not just a prize draw. If this was spread over the season on selected days I think it would be an incentive. They could include other offers such as an open day at the Ricoh ( I realise they would have to agree with Wasps). There are lots of things that they could do which wouldn't cost a lot but just requires a bit of imagination.

Agree with that, at least to the Early Bird STs. Been plenty of debate over the last few days, on various threads, about the lack of imagination that goes into the running of the club and it just adds another layer of evidence that they couldn't give a shit about anything other than breaking even.

Is it really though?! My OCD has massively kicked in and I can't believe no one has mentioned it yet.

That draw ain't sliding back in with that blue plate/lid at the end knocking the shelf above.

Continuity error.

Phew...had to get that off my chest.

Mr Gardener and Mr McKenna have been unlucky once and they go back the draw again according to the blurb and due to the low uptake they could well suffer the same fate. These incentives will probably cause large queues to form outside the butts on Monday hope the press cover the rush I'm sure Mr Reid will be on the case

Some politically worded advertising. Season tickets only went on sale on the 5th May last year, so they basically sold 600 in a week last year. This year it's 1000 since April 12th, which is over a month already.

2016 Early bird: 5th May to June 4th
2017 Early bird: April 12th to May 31st

Not sure when the standard pay day is in the UK but I'd have extended this years closing date by a week to accomodate anyone getting paid at month end.
