I'm sure you can buy a season ticket for the theatre so if you were not happy with the shows they were producing I'm sure you would not renew.It can't be compared to going to the theatre can it?

Every football match is different, I'm not too sure people would pay to watch the same film over and over every week no matter how good it was.

Yep-spot on and could have wrote that post myself. That's exactly where I am with it at the minute also.I haven't had a ST for a lot of years. But that is down to other reasons than not wanting to go. But I go when I can. But last season did it for me. Home games were a chore. They were no fun at all. So I ended up going to away games only. The games may have been just as bad but the rest of the day was a good laugh. It was the only thing that kept me going. So I fully understand why others are reluctant to pay for another season that could be just as bad. The vast majority of them are not interested in NOPM. But they have had enough of mediocre players and mediocre games. Then you have the false promises. All trust has been lost.
We are now a division 4 club. But if we can at least compete I will be back to the home games as well as away. If I lived locally I don't think that I would be getting a ST until at least I saw that we had a chance of winning games.

I think in this case it's more about a behind the scenes look at what goes on at training rather than watching heroes; unless you're prepubescent there are no heroes in football any more. I'd certainly be interested to see who is actually coaching, how seriously it's taken, who stands out etc particularly after Robins has assembled his new squad. Appreciate I've taken an isolated and subjective view on this 'prize' though. In the context of the wider debacle it's open to a fair amount of criticism and mockery - these rewards were either an afterthought resulting from the ST pricing backlash or very poorly marketed in the first place. While I feel that this is exactly the kind of thing the club could be doing much more of, they'd have to get it all spot on over an extended period of time to even start denting the fan's wrath and scepticism.Strange one this. Can't get enthusiastic about seeing players that are just passing through after a few months being here.

Agree with that, at least to the Early Bird STs. Been plenty of debate over the last few days, on various threads, about the lack of imagination that goes into the running of the club and it just adds another layer of evidence that they couldn't give a shit about anything other than breaking even.I think the day at Ryton idea would be good if it was extended to all season ticket holders, not just a prize draw. If this was spread over the season on selected days I think it would be an incentive. They could include other offers such as an open day at the Ricoh ( I realise they would have to agree with Wasps). There are lots of things that they could do which wouldn't cost a lot but just requires a bit of imagination.

Some politically worded advertising. Season tickets only went on sale on the 5th May last year, so they basically sold 600 in a week last year. This year it's 1000 since April 12th, which is over a month already.find it hard to believe but apparently weve now sold 1000 which is 400 more than at this time last year

2017 Early bird: April 12th to May 31st
Not sure when the standard pay day is in the UK but I'd have extended this years closing date by a week to accomodate anyone getting paid at month end.
