Fantastic result, another case of not playing our best but coming away with a victory. As we’ve said before it’s a sign of a successful team.

MR managed the game well. I’ve never been in the taxi camp (which is proving to be even more embarrassing every game) but I have been critical of his over cautiousness in the past. That no longer seems an issue, he is more willing to be offensive and make early and impactful subs. He is doing an unbelievable job, and not just on the pitch.

It’s an incredibly exciting time to be a fan right now. We really have to forget all the off field stuff and support the team. It’s really is that simple.

As cliche as it is, every game is massive but that Tuesday night Rotherham is the biggest of the season. Cannot wait.

Although two words of warning;1) those criticising McCallum - it’s only because of your unconscious bias of the fact he’s signed for Norwich, and 2) we actually don’t want to get promoted as MR will leave us.

The encouraging thing is we have had a strong run over the Christmas/post-Christmas period, quite a rare occurence, and the fact that we have emerged from that period with an intact strong squad.

I missed the first 20 minutes as I’m working but from what I saw of the rest of the game, McCallum looked fine to me. He seemed to get to grips with the pocket-rocket he was marking.

Two weeks ago it was can we finish in the play offs and the momentum has shifted to can we finish in the top 2? I think we will know if we win Saturday and what we get out of the cluster of games with Rotherham, Sunderland and Ipswich. Win all three and I’d say we will win the league but vitally important is we don’t get beat and take a draw if we have too!

I’m interested in how the team reacts when we eventually do get beat.

Great result we’ve won our last 3 now not playing at our best in difficult conditions. Only bodes well for when the weather improves as so will our game. I’m really starting to believe now

Seems like MR’s luck has ran out. Always going to happen, we’re only where we are because he’s lucky and luck doesn’t last forever.

Excuse the gormless look but I had been standing in the pouring rain and gale force winds. Wasnt the stadium but the Pompey in the Community centre just next to the ground. Raised about £800 for the local branch of MIND.

And three points for City and joint top. Magic

Yeah we've had this chat on PM Havant we?!

My address says Havant but I'm the otherside of Bedhampton, the Cosham side so more Portsmouth than Havant.

Got be close to a record for the number of games in a row a sub has scored?

That’s the difference for robins now he can make subs because of the strength of the bench last season we had no one decent to bring on
