Not confident for this one. But the last game I got confident for was Ipswich so not doing that again. Think we’re in “limp to January” mode and they’re finding their feet. One of the toughest games of the season remaining for me.

Or some of us are a bit more grounded than others and not swinging between the zenith and the nadir like some manic depressive.
It’s fine being grounded, but we are 12 clear of third place with a maniac goal difference. There’s no need to look at it with a glass half empty

The two goalkeepers are literally polar opposites.

On the xG stats, Rushworth is the best in the league and Bazunu is the worst.

With a 0.58 goals per 90 difference. So at that rate we’d be 27 goals better off over a season with Rushworth in goal than Bazunu 😅

Definitely a hard one to predict. We need to come out of the blocks quickly for this one. Scienza looks decent and Armstrong is always a threat at this level.

I am aware of that. But the first half of the season has been so good it will be hard to better it. I am not predicting us to implode.

We're well above every other team for most shots and shots on target.

Difficult to say whether we'll win as they're a good side which is threatening on the attack but I can't see us not scoring against Bazunu.

He's only kept 2 clean sheets from his 14 apps. Think his save % sits at just under 60%.

This could be a high scoring match. Their keepers aren't great but our high line is just asking to be exploited by their forwards. 4-3 either way.

Personally, I think this might be a good game to play the 3CB's and play Wright and Simms together. Also encourage the likes of Rudoni and Torp especially to try their luck from around the edge of the area wherever possible. I could see a few going in.

I don't know if there's any accessible stats showing which team has the most shots from outside of the box but we'll be well up there.

Sakamoto, Torp and Rudoni are all pretty good from distance. EMC and Grimes aren't shy of an attempt although the ball's trajectory is often nowhere near the goal.

What the hell are people fretting about .
If our league positions were reversed , there might be a little worry as to the goals scored or them being run away leaders , but they’re not .
This is just another team trying to topple the league leaders & their last game they lose to a bottom 3 club .
With Haji & Rudi getting back to form , Saka , Milan , soon to be over the virus & another sell out away section ……. Can’t you hear the classic “ jingle bells , jingle bells ….,,,O what fun it is to see City win away “
3 points again ole ole

First thing is, yes I would like to see a couple of players added to the squad in January.

But signings don't automatically make you better. Things don't always work like they should on paper.

Yes we have only lost 2 games. But the second half of the season won't necessarily mirror the first half. It will be hard to improve on it. There is more chance of us dropping more points second half.

But I still think we should be good enough to get the job done.
You need to look at our record since lampards been here, it’s promotion form, can’t see why it would drop off, we don’t need to improve on the start we’ve had, all the sides who will be probably up there at the end of the season have to come to the fortress, 14/15 more wins and it’s a huge ask for any team to catch us, Preston in 3rd would need 19/20 wins to catch us,

Not sure I’ve ever seen Saka or Rudi hit one from outside the box tbh.

This is one of those that most of us see as 'one we might lose' - as were Ipswich, Stoke and M'Boro. I've got Ipswich at home, and Blues (possibly Norwich) in the same bracket. We will lose some, but not all. I remain confident that our form/ability will pick up enough points from these/other games to be fine in the long term.

Poor memory then.

Saka's goals against Watford and Wrexham this season were both from outside the box, didn't come too far from scoring from outside the box against Bristol on Saturday either. Can't remember last season. Correction yes I do. Vs Derby at home the game when Robins was sacked.

Rudoni scored from outside the box against Sheff W? Plymouth, last season and QPR this season.

To be fair, he did once forget to pay for his season ticket so he is prone to forgetting things.

Pretty sure a couple of Sakamoto's goals this season have been from outside the box!

He’s had two from the edge of the area against Wrexham and Watford. The Wrexham one probably the better of the two I dunno feels like we rarely see it but as you say 50% of his goals.

Yeah maybe just on the edge of what i’d call “hitting one from outside the box” really. Mostly instinctual volleys from the edge of the area.

I think a lot of people are like me in that we worry because we care deeply about our club and are desperate for us to get promotion.
I suppose we are also used to things going tits up, but this team have a different mentality

We'll be going there to win as Lampard tries to for every fixture, I'm finding it interesting trying to work out what our approach will be for these away games. Expecting lots of goals anyway, they've got some clinical players and we carve out a lot of chances.
