Yeah I thought the same, with how little Lampard gives away pre match I can’t imagine EMC wouldn’t have been told not to mention a flu outbreak.Just listened to the EMC interview and think a few are running away with his throwaway comment on the flu a bit.
Torp/MvE have had it recently so wouldn’t be surprised if someone else has picked something up but the way some of you lot are going on you’d think we’ve had to bring Clive Platt back on an emergency short-term deal.

"I know there's a bit of flu going around, but other than that everyone is good" - EMC
Doesn't exactly sound like the black plague has decimated Ryton does it, I'm not too worried.
Well, given my personal experience in this I think you're wrong.I’m pretty sure about 90% of hospital doctors and nurses don’t take it either.
As a principle, unless you’re immuneo-compromised I don’t think fit and healthy people should be inoculated for common illnesses.
They sound very similar to us with the keepers being the main difference. Should be a proper goal fest. Was struggling to sleep so checked what our opponents today are saying. They have some complementary comments about their GK

Especially when you realize there’s some poor bastard at the other end waiting with bated breathI used to play for the county at it but was kicked off the team for forgetting to send a move in! Perfectly understandable tbf.

In your ‘personal’ experience as frontline medical staff?Well, given my personal experience in this I think you're wrong.
Respectfully, I hope your dreams don’t come true this weekend.had a dream we lost 11-2
Haji scored for us

To clarify, the clan of 90% of frontline staff were unvaccinated was at one NHS trust. In that sense, I misrepresented the sample - my bad. Overall, 2024/25 only 37.8%, frontline staff got the flu vaccine.
It's these for me. And remember they paid £10m for himBest comment:
“He’s fine as a number two”
When I went in for a hip replacement, when discharged I had to inject myself for a month to prevent blood clots. I hated it! A year later went in for a knee replacement and told the chap just leaving after his op that I wasn't looking forward to the injections. He said tell staff the same as me - I'm needle phobic. It worked! They just gave me a couse of tablets.Yeah lots of nurses are scared of needles too. I’ll tell you what I told them: don’t worry the staff are well trained and if you just tell them you’re scared they’ll be really nice to you.
I would normally be more worried than I am, but after seeing how bad their defence is we should score. We're the most attacking side they will have come across all season and are as bad as Dracula for dealing with crosses.I am scared but we’ve done so well let’s keep it
Let's all go batter him dude! This is the first year I’ve not had a heavy cold/ flu. Been taking Vitamin B12/ D supplements and running 4 times a week - coincidence ?
Then again, I discovered my wife was having an affair with a friend of a friend so my mental health is absolutely fucked and I’m mainlining antidepressants
Anyway, Soton 1 Cov 1
3 out of the next 5 away then 2 more home games. Some more big games coming up.I really hope that we play well today and get three points. Four of our next six games are away from home and I don't want us to suffer a loss of momentum, which can often be difficult to regain.
