Continue the season when they can-maybe even Sept.

After they have finished all fixtures (we should be around Christmas) either open transfer window and have a 2 -3 week break or no break. Which should suit the crap weather in winter and give players Xmas off.

Then...

Play next season as a ‘play every team only once’ with an even spread of home and away games.

...or, use this as an opportunity to align the end of the season with the Qatar world cup around about October 2022 (having a mid season break for Euros in 2021).

World cup ends Dec 18th 2022. Pre season could run alongside the world cup, and next season could kick off at Christmas (yes some WC players would need a break...), and run until end of August minus a couple of cup competitions. A month break and a couple of weeks pre-season, and ready to go again mid September 2024... abolish the league cup for the near future...
