I was wrong, you were right.

I still don't agree with lots of things you stand for and I'm not ready for you to speak on my behalf ... but I have just joined.

We need to stand together as one on this.

Fair play to you Rob I will join myself and if I don't agree with something I'll fight my corner from within rather than from the sidelines. We have never been so divided probably in our entire history than we have in the last couple of years but it has never been so important for us to stick together than right now. I don't care what pro SISU views people have expressed in the past, I think there should be a line drawn in the sand from today as together we will be much stronger to fight those that will put us into oblivion if it suits them.

I've never been involved with the trust but I'm more interested in what they do? Do they just discuss the club issues with no actions?

Sorry if I'm wrong!

Theyve been telling everybody for months that we were in the s-it, its now time we all joined. The membership decide what the trust does if you join and dont like the direction the trust is going in change it. People are voted onto the board of the trust anybody can be voted on. The trust needs members not just one or two but loads. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE join the trust. Who else is going to pick up the pieces US the fans. Forget its called the trust think of it as fans

Jacko we will be at fridays game all around the ground you can join us then.

Lets be honest guys i mean when i say the board of the trust are like anyone else all we want is to see a happy resolution for our football club. Everything we are trying to do is with the aim of one day having a club to be proud of, we will make mistakes no doubt about it and we are learning all the time and we still need more expertise onboard. Saturdays meeting at pompey was a real eye opener and very useful. We don't know how all this will pan out but at the end of probably the worst period in our history i hope we will have a say in the future and can ensure that this never happens to our club again.

Thanks for your kind words

Jacko you can pay on the website by Debit Card.

We will be both in the casino foyer, by the tesco underpass, By the JH Statue and also by the east stand on Friday (Providing we play there which we believe we will).

A link to the web site would be awesome Gary, and what's the cost? I live in Devon so can't really make it to sign on in person, and am pretty poor as I'm paying for the misses to go uni, but ill try and do my bit. Don't know what I'd do if our team was to disappear.

I live nowhere near cov, is there any point in me joining?

Neither am I near Cov, but I joined because I believe they need all the support they can get - don't forget that you can also donate - it doesn't have to be much but it all adds power to the elbow.

Rob. Now that you've joined come along to the meetings, have your say and influence how the Trust moves forward. I've said before, the trust is only the vehicle, the fans have the SATNAV and steer in the direction the trust should go to represent the majority of its members.

But what do they do?

Tad have a look at our aims and objectives. We were supposed to upload a list of the trust achievements since it started (you'd be quiet surprised!) but I can't find it, I'll ask the question as to why it's not on the site yet (although it might be)

Pardon my intrusion, but the goals for the trust seem very up in the air.

You might be-able to get on the board, but its going to be very hard. It will require a lot of money too.

Football isn't substainable without debt due to the demands of success and the structure the leagues are built on at the moment. They're trying to change that with things like the FFP rules, but I don't think its enough.

Swansea operates without debt and recently declared a substantial profit. The Swans Trust owns 20% of the Club. They paid £150,000 for that stake which is now probably worth millions.

True, however they are literally the only ones to my knowledge that have accomplished this. To reach that kind of feat is no easy task.

In Germany, all but two Bundesliga Clubs are owned by Supporters. In 49 years since that League was formed, not one Club has been declared insolvent.

Swansea are a PL club when all said and done and have much more favourable rent terms with the council. This is what their council leader said when it was suggested the rent be increased:

"We should be helping them to achieve more not taxing them on their success. As far as I am concerned the financial arrangements with regards to the Liberty Stadium are robust and appropriate. When the management company makes a profit then the council get their fair share. "We are also taking steps to ensure that high standards of maintenance are sustained.
"I do not want to take much-needed cash from the Swans that should be spent on strengthening the team and ensuring that they retain their Premier League status.
"The city stands to gain hugely from the success of the Swans in terms of investment , jobs, prestige and revenue. The council will also benefit from that dividend.
"I am not prepared to jeopardise that future by forcing the football club to pay more. We are here to help them not hinder them."

Can you imagine Mutton saying that?

That said, I am very much in favour of supporters owing a stake in their club.

When the Swans Trust bought their stake, they were in League 2, about to be liquidated.
