Signings from parachute clubs (6 Viewers)

Since Hamer has been playing again he’s already near the top of the league for assists and they aren’t even playing him in his best position. He would truly be a solid asset for us. Would love to get him or Louza

Hamer must be coming to the last year of his contract. Certainly not a 15m player now and we should still have the sell on clause. Sheffield United have also had the last of their parachute payments so could well have to reduce their wage bill.

We wouldn't be the only side interested, but we would certainly be towards the top of the list. A Hamer and Brooks double signing.

Come on Blunts. You know you want to become our new feeder club.

I wouldn't sign any players from the Championship to be honest. It's a crap transfer strategy and never works - see Ipswich last season.

The value also just isn't there as it's an incredibly inflated market. Paying £20-25m for instance for Hackney is IMO appalling business.

I'd much rather look at where we can get the most out of what budget we have available. If we're to go up we'd likely need around 8-10 new signings so we'd need to look at markets where we can extract the most value for our spend.

I'm with you on this. Look at the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth and Brentford for players that aren't quite at their level any more but are good enough to help survive in the prem (similar to Onyeka).

Those three clubs are rightly lauded for their recruitment, so picking up squad members from them, and them becoming regulars for us could be the way to go.

Add in a few from abroad, and i think it's a far better way of spending money to strengthen.

Having said that though, I'd be tempted by Jordan James, if he's still available for £8m
