In short............Fuck the out of town hedge fund, we'll try and manage somehow or another and the whole site in question has been excellent for job creation in Coventry. It's obvious they want the team back but also fairly clear they are not going to bow down to these lowdown scumbags ! Stalemate is King and the fans are the mugs who pick up the pieces !

in a nutshell....yep!

They have also made revised offers, they can't make SISU come back. Time to move on.....leave it to SISU to make an offer.

If they have moved on, why are they still talking about it?

It is like texting somebody to say "I am over you". It is the same with SISU, the game is still very much on I think.

Because if they didn't say it, there would probably be outcry from some on the more (how do you say) balanced people on here because they are closing the door. Some people are never happy

Agree JAck. If they really wanted to move on then Lucas should have said that negotiations were at an end and would not recommence. That really would have sent a message to SISU to prove they're building this mythical stadium.

The statement was political claptrap with no clear message at all.

That was the weak point of the statement, if she'd have said something like "agreement is still possible, but the door may close" then the statement would be stronger.

If a new tenant arrives then the game changes.

Hang on, if they had said 'end of' then SISU came back and said 'we were going to come back but they won't talk. ACL need to look for new business, if CCFC come back in and agree terms that are acceptable to ACL then they should be allowed to. Only a foolish person ever says 'end of' in any negotiation. Never back yourself into a corner, you could end up with egg on your face. Just think of the climb down that SISU would have to make if they decided not to go ahead with their new ground.

Perhaps now that Ms Lucas has made a statement on behalf of the Council Ms Seppala can make a statement on behalf of Sisu when she visits "the Coventry area" on the 17th:thinking about:Not holding my breath.

If Joy Sappala is in Coventry it's the one time the Coventry fans should unite and protest, but like the majority of times we all just sit back and show how much we do really care and do nothing.
If we were Leeds are Millwall things would be very different but we are Coventry and will just leave it to someone else.
She should be made aware how much we do care.

Sounds like a few on here would have preferred a statement saying they won't deal with SISUE at all now.

Or does someone have a better idea on how to negotiate with someone that don't want to negotiate as they have moved on? At least now Joy will have to decide on whether to build or move back. Otherwise they lose millions each season from lost revenue.

Yh pointless statement to make really. In fact it pissed me off. We must move on ........ but if you are still interested? BORE OFF!

True. Or by leaving the door open. You shut it. Seems both sides have "moved on", doesn't it?

Moved on my arse. You don't move on by starting an expensive Judicial Review.

I think it means that ACL can start to look at events that may impede on any sitting tenant in the bowl.
Not sure is they have been restricted fully as I'm aware of one massive event that will take over the rest of the complex for a weekend.

It is clear that if anybody wants to buy the complex that they will have to do so with all sitting tenants (Hotel, Casino etc) in place.
CCC/Higgs/ACL will not wind up these contracts as Sisu have suggested they need to do before they buy (AL)

nothing has changed, does not matter who the owners are. the council refuse to sell the ricoh to the club, they want to milk the cash cow, they loved the days of 1.4m rent whilst the club faltered

fuck i miss the ricoh but dammit if they can find a CLOSE location im all for sisu building a new stadium to give the club a chance moving forward.

The cash cow that hasn't provided a penny in profit to shareholders?

Can we stop talking about £1.4m rent, that's not what's on offer here. And surely if it's such a money spinner having the club there they'd be trying a lot harder and not offering free rent?

Lets not even get started on the question of how a new stadium would move the club forward in any respect.

Keep calm, I reckon Sisu's plan runs to end of next season. I'd put money that by then we're either home or in admin looking for a buyer.

Depends what you see as a win.

Honestly, ruthlessly, if we came back at the end of this or next year on a long term peppercorn rent I'd say that's a win for the club. If we can buy into the revenues all the better (though I'd worry it'd be another 2 years of "negotiations"). I'd hate the way we did it, but ultimately the club will be better off.

If we're hoping for Sisu to make their money back, then they'll win but CCFC will most certainly lose and we'll be no better off with a huge debt/mortgage to service.

Looks like you've got about as much "Vision" as SISU.
