A draw wouldn't be the end of the world as it keeps the gap to Boro. If you look at the last two as well we'd have gained 2 on Boro and 1 on Ipswich with a point.

3 points would be fantastic though in what is a tough game.

Their fans crack me up though. We’re irrelevant and trying to force a rivalry but they’ve started a new thread about us 🤣

Same as every other fanbase we come across. Now-a-days having a dislike and a bit of banter with another fanbase is "forcing a rivalry" and because we are "irrelevant to everyone".

Utter woke nonsense. You are an opposition fan, of course we dislike you, your team, your manager, your stadium and your city. That's just football in the UK. If you don't get it, then that's on you, not us.

Sheffield Utd are an interesting case as a parachute payment team. The last couple of seasons they have made a lot of short term decisions in their recruitment - plenty of loans and quite a few older players. If they don’t get promoted this year they’ll need to be careful they don’t turn into another Stoke City or even West Brom, paying high wages for average or past it players.

As much as I can't stand the man, if they hadn't have sacked sour chops in the summer they would probably be fighting it out with ourselves, Boro and Ipswich, failing that they would be in the play offs as a very minimum

They've got 11 points less than us since Wilder took over (28 games) and that includes us playing like twats throughout Dec and Jan. They'd be in the play-off mix though for sure.

Looking back against them, I thought they'd always been better but a quick look shows Games 57 Cov wins 23 Sheff wins 19 draw 15, so not all doom and gloom.
Other than the now infamous protesting game, I can't recall them coming down to our place and beating us all that often

I think it’s easy to prejudge him because he looks like the epitome of a sour arrogant Yorkshireman. But whenever I hear him speak or quoted, he always seems like an intelligent, fair minded guy to me.
I think he can often come across as self-important and lacking a bit of awareness.

He's sort of like Warnock in that he sees himself as 'plain speaking', but he's pretty charmless, whereas Warnock, for all his posturing, came across as having a certain warmth to him, and also didn't appear to take himself too seriously.

As for Sheffield United's fanbase, their attitude to the SISU protests sticks in the craw; it's a bit of a theme with football supporters that when a club is genuinely being screwed, that there is solidarity from other support bases. There was the exact opposite from them.

For any blades fans combing our forum - we don't see you as ay sort of rivals, we just don't like you.
To any Blades lurkers, I'd say it's not so much we don't like you it's a couple of things 1) you were bellends when we were in the shit 2) Some of our fans had a weird love in with your neighbours, that was until most realised they are a bunch of racist cockwombles.

If we don’t get a win , I will be disappointed.
We are starting our second wind , to push on to the prem & they must be wary of the league leaders , or they are bigger arses than I thought .
Another great away day ….0 - 2 & the skyblue’s go marching on

Leicester are our rivals. It's just Leicester fans will say they don't care because that's what Forest and Derby say to them because those two genuinely don't and they're so thick they think that's how you act towards your rivals.
Villa are our rivals.

Been other threads on this.

It's just their fans and board level strategies have caused how can I say 'some disagreements'. They were never really rivals in 60-90s.
