That news item about how people have been scamming their way in on kids tickets certainly was conveniently timed.

that is not the club’s responsibility and certainly shouldn’t impact the vast majority of families who enjoy that side of the ground to be hit by such a price hike. Boys will be boys. anyone would think singers corner is a hot bed for violence and drug taking when its not

Thank you
That wasn’t what I was saying
I was asking you to explain not going as a fan or are you just blowing off some annoyance anonymously on here?
If the latter then ok but if you’re genuinely thinking or not getting a season ticket as you’ll have to move lm really interested in how that works

I’m in the same position as him for a different reason and told you ‘how that works’. Choose between something we can’t afford or wife can’t watch the game.

Nice words from our forum 'supporter liason' or whatever you claim to be

Had a lot of time for you Pete but considering you're meant to represent the views of people on this forum to the club, and theres a lot of people with kids on here venting their opinion and frustration, your stance of 'just move then' really isnt good is it?

Don’t get confused with the echo chamber of a website, looking at the list following this site it tells me the vast majority are silent, I’ve spoken to a few ST holders who were expecting and prepared for a price rise, when you look at the above Sheffield Wednesday example for what might be division one football we our prices are more than reasonable.

Genuine question, does everybody buy their season tickets up front?

If they all sell out it’s an extra £775,000 in revenue from what the same fans would have paid this season. So maybe enough for one year of Jamie Paterson?

Judging by this thread it’s going to be less revenue as the family zone will be a whole stand

Do mine on the monthly, which means I'll probably miss out on the Premier ST as they can't sort things out first

Why not just pay monthly? Maybe that's why I see things a bit differently in justifying prices I would pay.

My limited understanding is the rental was not connected to attendance etc

Some businesses eg the Casino have their rent related to their turnover

Based on the mention of underage drinking the other day I’d imagine the safe guarding issue was one of the main factors behind the change, along with adults buying kids season tickets, as I’ve said previously in the thread. It’s pretty clear and understandable. The other aspect is maximising revenue from singers corner, the most in demand area of the ground. Again, understandable.

That said, I can see why teens wouldn’t want to be in the family zone and can think of a few families who sit near me who it will affect. On the other hand, if they do move it will be cheaper than now.

Maybe there could be two family zones, one aimed at under 10s or so one aimed at teens where they’re mixed in with general. Perhaps around block 23 corner.

Because the cost over a season is the same and I’ll be earning far less next season. Whether it’s all at once or spread out I can’t afford either.

Quite honestly, the single ticket and package prices should soon be released so that everyone can come up with the best solution for themselves.
A rise on the £33 tickets in the Championship will be ridiculous.

I will say, last two seasons I’ve had two JSB tickets next to us, they’ve probably made 15 games between them over two seasons, and the rest I’ve had a bit more room for my fat thighs at games. Next year it’ll just be the two adult tickets and if they want to come I’ll look at moving seats and buying one off tickets. But that’s a massive arse ache and my eldest has just started getting interested in going regularly again.

I mean more for cashflow.

£40 / £50 a month for 10 months is much easier to justify than £500 in one go for something used over that time every couple of weeks.

The other side of the ground next to the corporate seats near the front would be ok I should think

This basically Pete

Its not fair forcing people to move, and knowing full well they're doing that by introducing such a massive price increase on kids

There is also the fact that midweek games are virtually non starters for us so the price is not worth it per game compared to picking and choosing.

Would expect after King put himself centre stage in that video he will be on CWR at some point explaining the thought process / reasoning anyway?

I doubt many clubs are adopting a strategy where the only way you can get a value ticket as a family go to move into one area of the ground - it’s a bit dismissive to just say “move”

If I was King I’d be waiting for the initial reaction to blow over and some sales figures to come in before making any appearances.

The ones with kids I spoke too sit behind the goal anyway so will have no effect, the others all go up with mates, partners etc, will have no effect. The ones with kids who don't want to move it will I agree. We are not league 1 or 2 anymore. New era and all that the club needs to maximise profit

Pete no matter how much you Try and back the club here , 500 for a 14 year old and an 11 year old , up 350 on last season to stay in the same seats is fucking awful
I’m sorry I’m not backing the club I’m seeking to understand

From conversations I’d had and probably many others with the club the thought was much much worse than this - maybe tactical

You absolutely don’t have to move it’s just if you can’t afford not to

I imagine they've got the data from the turnstiles near block 15 and noticed a lot of JSB tickets have gone through and thought "hang on a minute..."

You’re probably right. Those seats near the corporate ones won’t be any better for the wife either. If we aren’t at or near half way then she can’t see into the opposite half.
