It’s so worth it though. 2 hours each way for me but go on my own quite a lot so drive is a nice break from the missus and kids 😂
Haha yea I enjoyed some of the midweek matches getting a nice few hours alone driving to and from the match.

We can’t commit , so will be two in block17 going for next season. We did our damndest even with minor illness ( Flu / Covid ) to get to 16/23 plus 2 cup games this season but looking at moving further away so will struggle. That was living half the year in Spain 🇪🇸

I actually think to our credit we're a very reasonable fanbase these days.

Doug, if you're reading this, we'll accept a price increase, but don't take the piss.

I'm happy to pay a bit more to have the squad invested in. That is precisely what a club is - funded by its members .

You went to 16 games whilst living in Spain?

Only for half the year, so a lot of the fixture list fell ok for us. We tend to do 7 weeks Spain, 10 weeks England alternate.

That is still very good going though.

You put to shame those in the family area moaning that they have to attend 8 games a season

We gave away for free the spare tickets, it wasn’t a big issue really as amortizing the cost it still worked out ok at about £25 a game.
I had 22 season tickets on the spin before Northampton and since 1986 for a long time did 35 + games a season home and away. Not sure I’ve got the money or the energy to do that now, age and income catches you up 🤷‍♂️

Sounds like a dodgy Firestick would be more appropriate 😜

You could help increase the numbers by just making a small contribution, just closing in on £1,500 but raised in excess of £10k in previous years to help other fans out with Season Tickets when they wouldn’t be able to without your support.

Any donation helps, or sharing across your social media and friends.
Link below and much appreciated if you can help.
Will also post the nomination form for anyone you may know who would benefit from this.

Hoping for a slight rise with the Frank effect, would be a great effort, expecting a bit of a price bump for the non-Prem leage packagers though!

what's that with inflation about £750? difficult for King because we've had low prices for so long but you've got to imagine he's going to want to start pushing prices up but you know any increase at all will be met with complaints
a 10% increase IMO would be reasonable given the recent freezes

In what way? Inflation is less than 2%.

The aim is to keep people coming, not make them think twice about it.

There are plenty of people who have tight budgets as well. Maybe they need to offer a Super Premier Card? That way people can give as much as you like over £600/season.

Inflation is about 3.5% and was similar last year when there was no increase. Maybe 10% was a bit high from my side, but 5-8% perhaps?

Inflation works on a year on year (YoY) basis.

What’s inflation been since 2023? Probably in and around 10% comfortably.

People talking about paying more by the fans need to just remember this doesn’t necessarily translate to a better experience, it probably just means more money in already ridiculous pay packets for men kicking a bag of wind around , just saying like.

That’s an argument about football in general though.
As a club we have to try and keep up

Prices need to go up if we want to just stay still as wages wise. NI has gone up and minimum wage for some staff. We need to stay competitive.
Appears Wrexham and Birmingham may be paying stupid wages for average players. Lets hope so.

Why is everyone so keen for prices to go up? A 5% increase is about 300K, that's about one seventh of a Norman Bassette It helps, but it's not going to make any real difference. We have a big ground compared to most, there's a lot to be said for trying to maximise people through the gates and keeping the community engaged and sustain attendance growth. There are direct and indirect benefits to that, both short and long term.

Of course, people would swallow a 5% increase, I think that would be ok, but it won't make one iota of difference to our ability to compete financially with parachute payment clubs. The only way do do that is through player sales and astute recruitment. That's how we try to move forward, and while we do that we should keep people coming through the turnstiles in as big numbers as possible. It's a fine balance though.
