Just tried renewing not charging the £8 but for some reason my payment not going through, been using the card for years, not even close to the limit don’t want to use another as I want my miles!!!!

phoned card issuer, they say contact the merchant, ticket master say issue with payment method, check detail and contact issuer. Why can’t we just go back to queues and real people?

Can we raise it again @Sky Blue Pete ?

There’s two issues here:

- Ticket master sucks floppy donkey dick. But I totally get they’re the only horse in town
- The clubs messaging makes their choice of ticketmaster feel like a rip off. If I was charged £448 I would feel less ripped off than being charged £440+8 because the 8 is an absolute rip off and I know it. If you want to stick with TicketMaster just eat the cost of your suppliers. You don’t put hotdogs up as £5+£3 stadium licensing fee. I’m not sure why they do it at all really unless they have to show it because of ticketmaster regulations/technical set up.

Any advice on best 0% credit card for 12 months would be welcome.
I need it well before 19th June though which could be a barrier!

Have you got the free credit score memberships like Clearscore and Credit Karma, these have good comparison options and show you whether you will be accepted before applying

Yeah, I got a Lloyds one through CK a couple of weeks back in readiness for ST sales. 21 months 0% on purchases so will cover next year's ST too.

A surprising view perhaps from me as whole career long IT person, I agree with your last sentence entirely.

IT has three main purposes but there are others
1) make like easier for people
2) make cost saving for organisations
3) to allow things to be done not possible through other means

1) definitely the opposite is happening these days
2) definitely happening but at the cost of wasting so much time for people
3) still true

phone the card company again they need to give you more info. if they can't see any sign of an attempt to make payment its a ticketmaster problem and frankly you've got fuck all chance of them sorting a problem like that, you'd be better off speaking to the ticket office who might be able to take payment on a card machine.

If they can see the payment attempt they should be able to tell you why its being declined but, assuming you have the funds, the only reason that would really happen is its being flagged as fraud which is an issue on their side.

I said the same last year, but I really don't see any upside. 24k x £8 = £192k!! I dont think any of us would mind if it was either going to the club or employing some local kids, but as most of this is in a short one month window, we could easily install some hardware that could cope for that value, especially as most of us are keeping our cards from last year, it's literally printing money. Pay once and it's there for future seasons too.

we can think of who haven't dished out the 8 quid as lesser fans, like the ricoh return phase 2 mob
Bloody hell. I expected to pay the £8 because that was a clearly stated condition of purchase, but the system just plain dumb didn't charge me. What was I to do? Refuse to buy the the ticket
