What they should do now if they had sense is to say that if you buy by a set date now you can get say 25 more off or another incentive.

Pretend to put them up, then say you've listened to the fans and decided to hold them at current levels. Looks good and averts the backlash from not reducing for L2 everyone feels good about going to renew. Watch this space
