Very suprised that most people are saying its not the price of the season tickets that is the problem for next season. The 5400 or near enough season ticket holders are the regular , stick with the team, whatever fans. Very few of these including myself would stop watching city in Coventry because the idiots that are sisu are still here.. The people around me were expecting the prices to drop. The match day income arguement does nt wash,we ve very little outlay. Crowds we get make up most of other teams income. Sadly the group I go with was once 10 , down over the ladt 3 years to 4 will now be 0 season tickets. Had there been a slight decrease in costs it would still be 4.

My lad has gone to football holiday club today as I have hospital appointments and he proudly wore his CCFC away kit - and his home one when he went yesterday. When I dropped him off he was the only one who wasn't wearing a Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Barcelona, Man City, Chelsea, Real Madrid kit, etc.

When sky blue sam turned up to my 5 year old lads school earlier in the season he was dead proud of the fact a) he knew who he was and b) he was the only one in his class to go to Wembley, he doesn't care what league we are in, he doesn't care when we score even if we are losing 4-1 the joy on his face when he walks upto the ricoh is absolutely priceless

Absolutely, Scott. That's what my lad is like. He lives and breaths CCFC. He is excited whatever the result. He loves going to the Ricoh and he's enjoyed all the away games we've been to in the past too. He's already made a list of grounds he wants to go to in L2. Mansfield is top of the list for some odd reason.

To be honest has an over 60 £230 is a bargain, JSB's are £25, so there tickets are not really free, but still good value for my grand kids. However it the quality of the product that part of the problem. This season is the first time I just did not bother going to some matches, despite having a season ticket. Some of the performances where truly shocking, I'd had enough. Then we have our wonderful owners, I am not sure they are really bothered, they have broken all ties with the vast majority of the fan base, making us feel punch drunk. They keep beating us till we had enough and gave up. When will the fire sale start for a best talent so we can 'break even' I will probably get a ticket more for personal reasons coming to Cov to my parents grave than anything to do with the football, or lack of. I am sure other will have reasons, dads and lad, mates meeting up etc, but less to do with the football more a get together. The whole situation is very sad, not sure I can see a way out of it whilst the owners remain.

Just brought mine. Block 20. As I said in previous posts, not been for years but I miss going and the team need the support now more than ever. I won't be able to get to all of the games (live in Liverpool) but there you go, £15 a game good value if I can get to most.

Personally, I don't see the point of comparing other clubs prices as they have different business models and maybe want different experiences for fans and numbers to cheer on the team etc
I think there is a general assumption that it should be cheaper as we are playing in a lower league, probably a valid thought and wouldn't have been difficult for the club to make a marginal adjustment or they could have made a serious reduction and really tried to piggy back the recent weeks and really to get the numbers up. Even if they had done the latter, I think people would still choose not to go. They have been worn down and that will take time (and for some, never, whilst current owners are in existence) to build back.

Its a fairly simple business model really, start winning games, be in the top 3-4 of the league and attendances will improve, people are fickle and will jump straight back on - Wembley proves this.

I cannot think of anyone who cannot afford a season ticket if they really wanted one. From when I started work years ago on £27 YTS money a week, I still saved and paid for one. The money isn't the issue, its not bad value if we play well and end up in top 6, people are reticent because they are not sure that's going to happen. We need some good years.

Will be still buying for my son and me.

They probably saw the 44k at Wembley and thought...... well if we get 25% of them we are laughing... not the best business plan.

Many times in the past I`ve thought I won`t bother as I only get to between 6-10 home games as "life" gets in the way......but what they do play on is its "your club"....not theirs, not the players....the fans......and invariably you end up renewing, if only for the perks like away games where capacity will be limited etc.
I wonder how many on this thread will renew "on the quiet" once the venting has cooled down a bit and there is only a week of early bird left?

The reason people fall away is due to quality of match day experience and not cost. Most people can still afford £300 and next season you get a free cup tkt. base your decision on mark robins and not the buffoons before.

Whilst I get your cynicism I think it is a mistake to tag that cynicism onto kids who support Coventry City. Apologies if I'm wrong here but I have a feeling you are not a parent and you haven't seen the excitement on kids' faces at the JSB Christmas party or on a matchday. Come and sit next to me and my lad for a game and you will see how much he is in to Coventry City. We may well be a lower league side but to most kids that doesn't matter. They support who they support. My son's friend suppports Maidstone United and goes to see them every weekend with his dad. Yeah, there are Utd, Man City, Chelsea fans, etc in his class but they never go and watch real football. Sky is all they have.

Don't be so quick to dismiss our young supporters.

I think u totally misunderstand me mate. I have 2 adult daughters and 2 boy grandsons 1 & 4. just asked my 4yo if he wanted to go to game tomoz. hes not bothered. I'm going. do I introduced my grandson to all tears and anger at such a young age. no. hopefully wait for better opportunity. I don't diss our kids just feel sorry 4 them. I never had that with City when a kid

I haven't made my mind up yet and tbh price isn't a deciding factor. It's more just another inept decision by sisu which if this forum is anything to go by is just alienating a few more of the dwindling number of ST holders.

Fisher would still charge the fans 300 quid even if we're playing in Longford park into the non league. He's a bullshitting liar and I'm not going while them pricks are runing this club. Talking about needing the fans for transfer money etc heard it all before it will be loan signings again sell our best young players and not replace them it's a fucking circus and I've had enough.

If they dropped an offer out in some sort of way like Bradford have I would jump on that and say fair play but Tim you can fuck off

Looking at this year's prices there are 5 league 2 teams with a higher season ticket price than us (one of which is likely to be promoted). The price isn't wildly unreasonable although they aren't going to tempt people into renewing by keeping the price the same.

If the match day ticket price was to remain the same, it will be the most expensive in the league (joint with 3 others - although one will be relegated/go bust). In my opinion they should be dropping this to about £20 (should be less but need to leave some season ticket benefit).

I never expected the prices to come down. The main reason I am renewing is to ensure priority on away tickets. Small grounds next year will result in a smaller allocation.

I'm still waiting for the corporate prices before I decide if I'm going back in block 21 or upgrading ,
What do people actually think not getting a season ticket will achieve , do you think sisu will go, oh no lots are not renewing we best leave .. 1 million % this will not be the case ,
We need to get promoted next season and move on do
I will as always be supporting the team , 3 season tickets 6 football tops , PUSB

It'll mean I'll have £345 more to spend where I will hope to get better value for money.

Fair play for getting one. Don't think anyone on either side turning into a us and them / STH/Non STH is going to help.

Renewed this morning. We got an adult ticket for my Dad rather than a SC as he said he probably won't go to many so I may have a spare ticket for a few matches if any of you fancy sitting next to me...

Yes , very little outlay. Our crowds have been higher than most in League 1, we pay small amount in rent and other costs for the use of the Ricoh. I m sure there has been another thread on this. The price for next season is wrong in my opinion and will cost the club in the short term. Yes I m lucky enough to be able to afford it but I disagree with the costs. I ve had a season ticket for 40+ years bar Northampton and I ll now go to more away games next season and the odd few home games. pusb

They'd probably operate on a small budget like we have been and will be anyway.

I can't understand anyone that has a pop at anyone not buying a ST over the last 6 years especially and like I say turning into an us and them won't help.

I really hope you get to bask in a promotion season and maybe I might become a bandwagoner for the 2nd half of the season when we're 10 points clear in January.
