Because almost every company has a PR company. Including Sisu, CCFC, Paul Appleton, etc.

Are you suggesting all of those have been up to funny tricks too?

You hire a PR firm when you have lots of journalists calling up the office and you don't want to waste your time not doing your primary job.

Do you have any evidence whatsoever that they actually partake in astroturfing?

I'm on this site almost 24/7 and I've never seen anything that would come close (and I remember outing the XBO astroturfers on reddit and others, so have an idea what to look for) although I've seen a fair few dodgy posters pop up with very specific wording that's very close to Labovitch's words.

I'm not saying it goes on on either side. That's your accusation, but if it does, not only is it both sides but from what I've seen Sisu's PR is far more active.

No offence Godiva and apologies for the other thread but carries about the same weight you're giving ML credence suggesting the fans through the trust were manipulayed

Acl don't need to do PR on this forum, the clubs fans do it for them.

Really, why didn't Labovitch just say to the fella at the meeting, phone someone off this forum then? Not quite sure what you are trying to achieve with your post on one of the better threads on here? On a more thread topic related point, what do you think of the way Labovitch carried on at the meeting after the minutes were produced on here and what people have been talking about?

Perhaps they needed to protect themselves from counter publicity/statements from SISU?

Perhaps they want to engage new clients?

Perhaps it is just part of their on going business structure to reach new markets?

Perhaps ML needs to find some foundations under his own corporate structure, rather than trying to undermine another's!

Why now should ML be worried about ACLs structure?

Unlike most of the populators of this thread I've never supported SISU at any time.

Why can't they just be straight with the trust for example just say "We think you have done this, this is why we have an issue". Then the trust can reply and discuss it.

You can only assume because if they gave a clear question the trust could give a clear answer and that doesn't fit in with ML's requirements. He just seems to be seeking to push blame onto as many other parties as he can with little or no evidence to back anything up.

As you say if they have a problem with the Trust state what it is then everyone knows what is going on, the Trust can respond and either move to resolve the issue or walk away from any further contract with SISU - not that their seems to be much at the moment.

The fact that kingsharvest can't be arsed with these meetings anymore speaks volumes for me. They're a completely pointless exercise.
As for Labovich, you can tell by the way he bumbles through his brief ssn interviews that he's a cretin and he hasn't got a clue what he's on about.

Labovitch is very disconcerting, a man who should know so much about the state of matters at the club, but who seems to know so little. The man appears bereft of any credibility or grasp of the situation. Perfect as a puppet I suppose.

Well - it was a very long shot at being funny. IF WS actually had one or more plants on here they really couldn't make a post saying 'I am a WS employee and I can assure you all I only do small advertising for upcoming events at the Ricoh'. Would kind of blow their cover.
Ah - forget it.

No need for apologies.
I am not trying to give ML any credence here ... just leave room for him knowing more than I do. From just reading the minutes and coupled with similar remarks at the radio interview I get a feeling there's more history between the Trust (or members of the Trust) and the club than we know of. But it could easily be a case of mud slinging - some is bound to stick until it's wiped clean.

It seems pretty obvious that sisu think the Trust (or leading members of the Trust) were siding with ccc to oust the owners from the club. The way ML handled that in the SGC meeting oozes of anger and frustration - where does that come from?

I think you're being very naive there. I doubt Sisu think anything of the sort. They're just stirring crap with the hope of discrediting the Trust.

You're one of the good ones Godiva, but at some point, I have to ask if you seriously believe this crap?

I think Godiva eats poo for breakfast. "No smoke without fire".. . "there's MUST be a reason he thinks that"..."maybe he just eats a small amount of poo"

I mean seriously, this is 12 year old stuff, can you seriously not see through it? I mean on the balance of probabilities? really?

Nick, Preston Haskell joined and still is a member of the Trust, if he asked us a question we would give him an answer to the best of our ability just like we would anyone else, especially SBT members.
We have always said we will willingly talk to anyone and that includes all parties and sides if it eventually helps us get back to Coventry.

Yes they were, and if anything that may be seen as a mistake.

The thing is, everyone thought the club was up for sale, Sisu while not out the picture were not running the club technically, and here was a guy offering what the stated aim of the SBT is (fan ownership, full or part) of course they were going to talk to him.

You've also got to remember that for a long period Sisu wouldn't talk to the Trust and ACL did, so most of the information flow came from them. That doesn't make them biased, and really only Sisu can be blamed if they didn't get their side of the story out in time can't they?

The only question that really needs asking here is: have the Trust not represented the views of their members?

If the answer to that is yes, then they are failing in their job and should be taken to task, if the answer is no then you can't touch them as they are literally a representative body, you may as well bring all of Cov into disrepute.

As you know, I keep a bit of a firewall between me and official Trust stuff, mostly because I don't care that much, but I know for a fact that at that time the decisions being taken were for good, honest reasons. This started as a smear campaign with the previous Chair and now is continuing. My Dad, Steve, Jan, I challenge anyone who knows them or even comes into contact with them to say they are anything other than straight up, honest Coventry City fans.

I'll tell you the lengths that the Trust went to to stay neutral (and I thought this was crazy): When I went to away games with my Dad, when the "Sisu Out" chant starts, even if everyone including me around us joins in. He doesn't. The entire board have walked on eggshells to both actually be balanced and to show it publicly. My opinion has always been that they shouldn't, as that's not representative of the majority view of fans.

This is fucking Harriet Harman all over again, with Labovitch in the role of Daily Mail.

Were they, or is this just sisu spin?

I only ask because I can only remember the story coming from sisu employees.

I'd be happy to hear different if someone knows better.

We have always said we will talk to any and all parties if it helps us get back to Coventry. All meetings with any group is in our board minutes, we even held open meetings to tell our members what was discussed at any meeting we went to. That includes meetings with TF.

I do eat poo for breakfast - or sort of. I usually get scrambled eggs.

It may well be that I am naïve, but I am not blinded by hate or paint anyone black or white. I don't participate in witch hunts believing the accused is only innocent if she can't swim.
I am sorry - I have never learned not to have any doubts.

You answered my question before I managed to post it.

So the answer is yes. But interestingly sisu were equally publicly distant from the trust from what you say.

So it was more a case of the trust was close to the parties that weren't pushing them away rather than picking and choosing?
