I don't actually think this is a good tactic anyway, some lucky so and so is bound to double their money in 1 bet.

Sounds a lot of fun, nice time to try it out through the world cup. Had a similar thing at work once, everyone had a set amount to bet for the group games, then had an extra £100 added for the knock outs (which meant if you lost the lot during the first fortnight, you still could have a pop later on). Can you post outrights as well .. i.e world cup winner? or would that complicate things with the duration of the bet? Also guessing in custom bets the 'bookies' keep lost bet stakes (so if i set up harry Kane 1st scorer bet, someone placed it and it lost i kept their stake) if any of this makes any sense haha.

Yeah, at the start I could get all of the odds and put each team to win the world cup for people to bet on.

Then bets would lock before the first game and I'd settle them after the final.
