Like it - catchy message. To be honest a polite flyer is pretty pointless other than it will create a lot of litter to pick up at the end
I tend to agree. People will either sympathise with the half dozen people stood bedraggled and lonely outside, or not. Still down as a maybe?
PSB group has just tweeted it out and has a decent response. I know people may not agree with them/him, I normally don't, but we need support from all sectors of the fan base so fair play.
Well I've been saving the families shit in bags all week so I can 'hoy' it at the stripy b'stards but it's starting to firm up. Any suggestions how I can get the consistency back to radiator water in time? I think I need to double bag it too as it's on the top shelf of the fridge and I'm concerned about the salad drawer underneath.
If you have a copy of THAT photo - you know the one where Lucas has a fag on and Duggins is hanging out the back of her, then I could incorporate that in one corner and perhaps Joy with the strap on looking provocatively at Fisher in the other.
They seem to want to do something else. cj, to his credit, has tweeted it and encouraged people to go. Maybe that'll push the Trust into taking ownership.
In all seriousness we need to ensure that the message is peaceful and that any acts of physicality are initiated by Wasps supporters not ours as we will lose all support and credibility. Sit in front of the turnstiles and refuse to move. There is no right to physically remove you and if anyone tries to then there should be police on hand to report it to. The message is clear, "If we can't play here then neither can you". Be apologetic, sympathetic even courteous, particularly as there will be women and children around too, but equally undeterred and unified in your response.
Glad to see this is finally gaining some legs. Well done BHSB for suggesting it in the first place, we’ll do NW for running with it and well done anyone promoting it on any platform. Hoping to see a peaceful pro CCFC “protest” it shouldn’t be about anything other than the club and the fans. Looking forward to it.
Yep. Not the time to argue over who's right and wrong - it's about (some!) visibility that we, as fans, aren't happy about this and it's we, as fans, who'll suffer.
It’s my anniversary and I’m out for a very posh meal in South Leics. I’ve given the heads up...if I’m arrested she will put it in a doggy bag and I’ll have it for breakfast Im doing an hour of protest at the statue ... and then I’ll do some fine dining and get all lary With the woollyback knicker sti feel like I’m being picky... but could we have the word “Just” before the word “F**k”
There is a serious issue here that if there’s only a handful of fans it will re-enforce wasps belief most ccfc fans render them blameless
I agree. That's why we need as many to commit as possible, and why we need the Trust onside if possible. But I'll try the positive encouragement to get them onside. I want to build relationships, not knock them down before they've begun.
I'd be interested to know if Steve from Cov goes to the gym in a full Wasps gear and matching under armour trainers?
I will be there (2 hr round trip). Reality is that it won’t do a lot but I just feel like other club’s fans would be doing more and this is something! Well done for organising.
If I wasn’t over 3000 miles away, I would definitely be there along with my son. FWIW, I completely agree with rob9872. I know a lot of people who are passionate rugby fans. Most are great people but a sizable minority are sanctimonious twats with a superiority complex in relation to football v rugby. A lot if that is rooted in bigoted snobbery. You constantly hear remarks that condemn (insert football misdemeanor) with the words ‘you wouldn’t see that in rugby’. When watching their kids, if there’s a bit of static in a rugby game they cry “this isn’t football” as a rebuke. They conveniently overlook the sexual assaults, homophobia (Israel Folau) and brutal violence (Danny Cipriani, Mark Jennings) while criticizing those frightful oiks who play football. The consensus of opinion on football fans is that we’re a small step up from lab rats. The publicity generated tomorrow has to be positive or it will be a huge own goal. Any intimidating behaviour will be seized on with the kind of hysteria that will make the Sunderland fans seem rational and balanced and be gold dust for Wasps. Well done for all of you attending.
